Set Up Tests and Orders to Update Care Guidelines

You can set up tests and orders to update care guidelines for a patient.

A care guideline status is updated to completed when all of the following conditions are met:

  • The ordering code (or description) is added to the guideline's list of Interventions/Test Equivalent Codes/Descriptions.
  • The completed order type for the patient matches with the guideline type that is set. For example, lab guidelines will only update from lab orders.
  • The order has both a valid Completed Date or Received Date along with a Completed or Results Received status.

Mapping can be used to set up tests and orders to update guidelines, simplifying workflow in the process. These mapping procedures can be used by the care guidelines that comes shipped with NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine 8.3.x, 8.4.x and later.
