Place an Order for Diagnostic Studies

You can place a diagnostic study order with Bypass Order Module Processing enabled. You can place a diagnostic study order from the Diagnostic Studies template. Note: If Bypass Order Module Processing is not in effect, the Lab/Radiology Order Processing link appears on the Diagnostic Studies template. After you place an order, you must select the Order Module Processing link to select the vendor and submit the order for processing. Open the Diagnostic Studies template. Diagnostic Studies template The patient’s insurance details and policy number appear if they are entered into the application. If a preferred vendor are configured in the File Maintenance application, the name appears. The Today’s Assessments grid displays a list of diagnoses selected in the Assessments tab. Prerequisites for Bypass Orders Module Processing

With Bypass Order Module Processing enabled, orders placed on the Diagnostics tab are sent to a stored procedure, hold table to be placed in all Framework template order grids when you place an order. The prerequisites for using this feature are the following: The NextGen Compendium must be downloaded to the database to set up a Radiology Vendor and Test CPT codes for testing. Configure Processed and Unprocessed Options for Lab and Diagnostic Orders

From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Click the Practice tab. In the Show section, click the All option. A list of practice level templates appears. Select Practice Configuration and click OK. The Practice Configuration practice template opens. Select the Bypass Order Module Processing check box.
