check box.

View Unprocessed Lab or Radiology Orders
You can view the unprocessed lab or radiology orders. Before you begin To view the Processed and Unprocessed filter options for Lab and Diagnostics order types in the Today's Orders panel, you must configure the Processed and Unprocessed options on the Practice Configuration practice template. Open the Checkout template. Expand the Today's Orders panel. Note: By default, the Processed option is selected. To view unprocessed lab or diagnostic orders, click the Diagnostics or Lab option. Select the Unprocessed option. Note: If any order is unprocessed, the Lab/Radiology Order Processing link changes color and a yellow exclamation alert icon appears. Click the Lab/Radiology Order Processing link and complete the orders. Note: As the unprocessed orders are not allowed to be edited or cosigned, the Edit button remains unavailable when you select the Unprocessed option. Parent topic: Managing Today's Orders

Process Lab Orders
You can process lab orders from the Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Checkout template. Expand the Today's Orders panel. Select the Lab/Radiology Order Processing link.The Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template opens. Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template Select Labs or Radiology. Select the Vendor field, and select the vendor name from the list. Select the Unsubmitted option. In the Today's Orders grid, select the row for the order.The Include selected order button appears. To move the order to the Orders for Selected Vendor section, select Include selected order. To answer any questions associated with the orders, select AOE. Managing Today's Orders
You can process lab or radiology orders documented by the provider on the My Plan template. You can add and edit an order in the Today's Orders panel. To place any follow-up order, you can use the Follow Up button. Several types of orders are available in the Today's Orders panel. The numbers next to the order types indicate the number of items in the queue for that type of order. In the beginning, you must select the order type, and then you need to select Add or Edit to open the respective order template to add or update the details. To place an order from the Orders Console template, you must select the Enable Order Module check box in the Orders/Plans section on the Practice Configuration template. Bypass the Orders Module for Lab and Radiology Orders
You can set up the Bypass Order Module Processing option to insert lab and diagnostic orders directly into the Orders module based on the selected vendor for orders placed from the following templates in the My Plan template set: My Custom Plan Lab Master OBGYN Lab Master- Labs tab for an Obstetrics or Gynecology specialty encounter Diagnostics From the File menu, select System/Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Click the Practice tab. Under Show, select All. Search for and double-click My Custom Plan Setup. In the General Configuration panel, select the Bypass Order Module Processing check box. My Plan Config Click Save in the NextGen® Enterprise top toolbar. Set Practice Defaults for Processing Orders
On the Practice Configuration template, scroll down to the Orders/Plans section. In the My Plan/Order Processing row, you can select any of the following options as the default for processing orders: Process - enables the Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template to automatically launch when you click Place Order Task- a template automatically launches to easily send a task to another user Ask- enables choices for how the template appears Click Save and Close. Add Orders in the Order Management Template
Click the Order Management link to launch the Order Management template. The system selects the All Orders option by default to display all of the orders placed in the current encounter. If orders are not available in the grid, click Add to launch the My Plan template. Note: If you select the Launch My Custom Plan (ord_my_custom_plan) check box on the Practice Configuration practice template, then the My Custom Plan template launches. For more information about the My Custom Plan template, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest My Plan Template Set User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine Select an assessment in the Today's Assessment grid.
