Configuration Option in Cancer Registry Section

The configuration in the Cancer Registry section applies to the Oncology specialty. Cancer Registry section If you select the Cancer registry HL7 interface check box, Required Fields Check appears at the bottom of the run-time Onc Treatment Summary template. This button opens the Missing Data template that lists the required data to be added in the Onc Treatment Summary template, which helps in reporting cancer cases to a public health central cancer registry. Patient's Lab Orders

You can place lab orders from the Labs tab using the Lab Master template or the Orders console. The Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template shares information with the Lab Master template and the Orders console. You can place a lab order from the Lab Master template on the Labs tab for the following types of tests: chemistry, CSF labs, office labs, tumor markers, microbiology, hematology, OB labs, other tests, urine chemistries, therapeutic levels, serology, and pre-Cath labs. Instead of using the Lab Master template, you can configure the Labs tab to open to the Orders console for processing labs. The Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template shares all orders that are mapped in the Order Tests Master File in File Maintenance with the Orders module, including the order details and any mapped LOINC® or SNOMED® codes. Configure Processed and Unprocessed Options for Lab and Diagnostic Orders

From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Click the Practice tab. In the Show section, click the All option. A list of practice level templates appears. Select Practice Configuration and click OK. The Practice Configuration practice template opens. Select the Bypass Order Module Processing check box. Set Up Labs to Process in the Orders Console

You can configure order entry through the Orders console from the Labs tab. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Practice Configuration template. In the Orders/Plans section, on the Order Module line, select the Enable Order Module check box. In run time, the Labs tab opens the Orders console instead of the Lab Master template. Documenting Information in the OB Gestational Orders Template

You can access the OB Gestational Orders template from thePrenatal Detail > Order Labs > OBGYN Lab Master > Labs > Orders by Gestational Week. The lab results fills the Order Management template, Lab Results - Obstetrics template, the Order module, and the master document. Before using the OB Gestational Orders template, you have to select the OB Prenatal- Initial visit type and enter the applicable information in the Gestational Age tab.
