Bypassing Orders Module Processing

If your practice has configured Bypass Order Module Processing on the My Custom Plan Setup template, you can avoid processing an order through the Orders module using the Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template. When you click Place Order, the application updates the item in all order grids on NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine Framework templates. You can see orders that were placed on any of the lab templates that were opened from the Labs tab in the Pending Orders section. Patient's Lab Orders

You can place lab orders from the Labs tab using the Lab Master template or the Orders console. The Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template shares information with the Lab Master template and the Orders console. You can place a lab order from the Lab Master template on the Labs tab for the following types of tests: chemistry, CSF labs, office labs, tumor markers, microbiology, hematology, OB labs, other tests, urine chemistries, therapeutic levels, serology, and pre-Cath labs. Instead of using the Lab Master template, you can configure the Labs tab to open to the Orders console for processing labs. The Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template shares all orders that are mapped in the Order Tests Master File in File Maintenance with the Orders module, including the order details and any mapped LOINC® or SNOMED® codes. Process Lab Orders

You can process Lab orders on the Checkout template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Checkout template. Click the Today's Orders panel. Click the Lab/Radiology Order Processing link. The Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template opens. Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders Select the Labs or Radiology option. Click the Vendor field and select the appropriate option from the list. In the Today's Orders grid, select the required row. The Include Selected Order arrow appears. To move the order to the Orders for Selected Vendor section, click the Include Selected Order arrow. To include the order in the Orders module, click Process/Submit. Click Save & Close. Process Lab Orders

You can process lab orders from the Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Checkout template. Expand the Today's Orders panel. Select the Lab/Radiology Order Processing link.The Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template opens. Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template Select Labs or Radiology. Select the Vendor field, and select the vendor name from the list. Select the Unsubmitted option. In the Today's Orders grid, select the row for the order.The Include selected order button appears. To move the order to the Orders for Selected Vendor section, select Include selected order. To answer any questions associated with the orders, select AOE. Open the Orders Module

You can open the Orders module from Top Toolbar in NextGen® Enterprise EHR to create and manage your orders . You can also access orders from the applicable templates if you are using NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine to place orders. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. The NextGen® Enterprise EHR main window opens. To open the Orders module, do one of the following: Select Orders on the Quick Buttons panel. Select the Enable Order Module Setting on the Practice Configuration Template

You can select the enable Order module setting on the Practice Configuration template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Practice Configuration practice template, in the Orders/Plans section, select the Enable Order Module check box. Select Save and Close.
