Components of the Prenatal Detail - Obstetrics Template

You can document the necessary information about prenatal encounters and review data from previous encounters to ensure safe and effective care for a pregnant woman and her baby on the Prenatal Detail - Obstetrics template.

The following panels enable you to document the necessary information during a prenatal visit:

The obstetric group of panels are used for orders:
  • Initial Orders
  • 24-28 Week Orders
  • 32-37 Week Orders
  • Genetic Screening and Testing Maternal Carrier Screening
  • Fetal (Aneuploidy) Chromosomal Testing
  • Ultrasound Orders
  • Optional Orders
You can view telephone calls and other communications outside of visits in the Communication panel.
The Risk Factors link in the OB patient header opens the OB Risk Factors template to document risk factors that are specific to the Obstetrics specialty. When documenting risk factors, the practice may decide to only indicate the positive items rather than select negative for all of the remaining items.
OB Risk Factors

The Order Labs link in OB patient header opens the OBGYN Lab Master template. You can add assessments and place obstetric lab orders using the OBGYN Lab Master template.

The Order Module link in the OB patient header opens the Order module to create new orders and add result details for obstetric orders.

The Lab Flowsheet link in the OB patient header opens the OB Lab Results template to view the additional lab orders. The orders place through Order module are available on the OB Lab Results template. These lab orders are also available in the lab orders in the respective obstetric group panels.

When you select the Include lab detail in OB_Master document check box, the details are added in the obstetric group of panels to the OB Master document.
