Physical Therapy Treatment Panel

The Treatment panel enables you to document treatments performed during an encounter. Information documented here is also used for billing purposes. The Treatment grid displays details about the treatment plans. The fields in the Performed Today section below the grid function as a worksheet for documentation of treatment activities performed. Note: Only those treatments detailed in a row with the Performed check box selected are billed. Enter Additional A/P Details

You can document additional information such as a differential diagnosis, plan details, or comments for the assessment on the Assessment/Plan Details template. On the My Plan (PT) template, click the A/P Details tab. The Assessment Plan Details template opens. Assessment Plan Details To add or update the working assessment, select an assessment in the Today's Assessments grid. Type or dictate patient data in the Impression/Comments, Plan Details, Differential Diagnosis, and Provider Details. For a follow-up visit or disposition is needed, place the order. Place a Follow-up/Disposition Order

Do one of the following: In the Assessment Plan panel, click the A/P Details link in the left pane. On the My Plan (PT) template, click the A/P Details tab. The Assessment Plan Details template opens. Click Follow Up. The Follow-up/Disposition template opens. Follow-up/Disposition template To add or update the working assessment, select the diagnosis in the grid. Select the follow up check box. Enter the details and time for the follow-up visit. In the Disposition field, select an option from the list. If the applicable option is not available in the list, click the top blank row and then type a value in the Disposition field. If the patient refused the selected disposition, select the Refused check box. In the Reason field, select an option from the list. In the Timeframe field, select an option from the list. Click Place Order. The fields clear so that another follow-up appointment can be entered. The follow-up appointments appear in the Assessment/Plan grid. Click OK. Parent topic:

Document the Treatment Plan on My Plan

The treatment plan for the patient can be documented on the My Plan (PT) template that enables providers to place multiple orders from a single template. The My Plan (PT) template is based on order sets for diagnosis categories that can be modified and managed by clients using practice templates. The My Plan (PT) template appears within NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine by default and can be easily replaced with the My Custom Plan template after a simple configuration in the Practice Configuration practice template. The My Custom Plan template can be personalized to suit your practice's specific needs and is less click-intensive. The A/P Details link in the left side navigation opens the Assessment/Plan Details and Treatment template. Use this template to add as many impressions, comments, differential diagnoses, and patient and provider’s plans for a diagnosis, as necessary.
