Cosign or Review Orders
The
Cosign/Review Orders
template is used by supervising providers to review and co-sign/sign-off orders.
Select the option to cosign
Individual order
in the
Cosign/sign-off
orders section at the bottom left of the template.
Highlight a row in the
Orders
grid.
The fields below the grid display details for the selected order.
Click the
Clinical information/comments
field below the grid to enter additional information.
Click the
Reason/explanation/comment
field and type a brief reason or comment.
Click the
Sign/Update
button.
The
Order
grid displays the updated sign-off information for the selected order.
To task someone, click the
Task
button to launch
Tasking
.
Click
Save & Close
when you have finished signing off orders.

Place a Follow-up/Disposition Order
Do one of the following: In the Assessment Plan panel, click the A/P Details link in the left pane. On the My Plan (PT) template, click the A/P Details tab. The Assessment Plan Details template opens. Click Follow Up. The Follow-up/Disposition template opens. Follow-up/Disposition template To add or update the working assessment, select the diagnosis in the grid. Select the follow up check box. Enter the details and time for the follow-up visit. In the Disposition field, select an option from the list. If the applicable option is not available in the list, click the top blank row and then type a value in the Disposition field. If the patient refused the selected disposition, select the Refused check box. In the Reason field, select an option from the list. In the Timeframe field, select an option from the list. Click Place Order. The fields clear so that another follow-up appointment can be entered. The follow-up appointments appear in the Assessment/Plan grid. Click OK. Parent topic:

Sign-Off the Orders as a Provider
You can review and sign-off an order on the Cosign/Review Orders template. Open the ASC - Physician Procedure template. In the Assessment / Plan panel, click the Review/Cosign Orders link. The Cosign/Review Orders template opens. Cosign/Review Orders In the Orders panel, all the orders and expected immunization orders placed in the current encounter appear. In the Immunizations Today panel, only the immunization orders placed in the current encounter appear. In the Orders panel, to sign off on an order: Select an order from the grid in the Orders panel. The selected order details appear in the Details of individual order section at the bottom of the template. If necessary, add comments in the Clinical information/comments field. In the Cosign/sign off orders section, the Individual order option is selected by default. To sign off all the orders in the Orders panel, select the All orders option and document any comments in the Reason/explanation/comment field. Click Sign/Update. The cur

Sign-Off the Orders as a Provider
You can submit and review the plan of care based on your role in the Provider Sign Off panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the SOAP tab, expand the Assessment/Plan panel. To open the Cosign/Review Orders template, do one of the following: Select the Review/Cosign Orders link. Select Add/Update and then select the Cosign Orders tab on the Add or Update Assessment template. Cosign Orders Note: In the Orders panel, you can view all the orders and expected immunization orders placed in the current encounter. Sign Off Procedure Orders
After placing the required procedure orders in the Today's Procedure Orders grid, you need to sign off the unsigned procedure orders. To sign off an individual procedure order, Click the Unsigned option above the Today's Procedure Orders grid. All the procedure orders which are unsigned appear in the Today's Procedure Orders grid. Select a row in the Today's Procedure Orders grid. In the Co-Sign/Sign Off Procedure Orders section, Click the Individual order option. The Signed by, Date, and Time fields populate with the current user, date and time respectively. If applicable, enter any additional comments on procedure orders in the Reason/Explanation/Comment field. Click Sign/Update. The current user name appears in the Signed By column of the Today's Procedure Orders grid. To sign off all the procedure orders, Click the Unsigned option above the Today's Procedure Orders grid. Add or View Order Result Comments
You can view and add comments for an order test result. On the Results grid, select a patient’s numerical test result in a Collection Date & Time column. Select Tracking from the Results toolbar. You can view any comments that were entered previously. To add a comment, select Add. Another Sign-off and Tracking Comments window opens, displaying the patient's information. Select Tracking as the comment Type. Enter a comment regarding the order results. If applicable, select My Phrases to select an appropriate phrase. Do one of the following: To simply save the comments, select Save. If you add comments that require another user or group to perform a task, select Save & Task and select the recipient. Recent Orders
You can view the orders for the patient using Recent Orders panel. The Recent Orders panel is where you can view and follow orders for the patient. The Recent Orders panel grid is a viewable grid only – you cannot take any action for items that appear in the grid. The panel has links to other templates used to follow and manage orders.
