Sign-Off the Orders as a Provider
You can review and sign-off an order on the Cosign/Review Orders template.
- Open the ASC - Physician Procedure template.
- In the Assessment / Plan panel, click the Review/Cosign Orders link.
The Cosign/Review Orders template opens.
In the Immunizations Today panel, only the immunization orders placed in the current encounter appear.
- In the Orders panel, to sign off on an order:
- Select an order from the grid in the Orders panel.
The selected order details appear in the Details of individual order section at the bottom of the template.
- If necessary, add comments in the Clinical information/comments field.
- In the Cosign/sign off orders section, the Individual order option is selected by default.
- Select an order from the grid in the Orders panel.
- To sign off all the orders in the Orders panel, select the All orders option and document any comments in the Reason/explanation/comment field.
- Click Sign/Update.
The current user name and the current system date appear in the Cosigned by column and Cosigned column respectively.
- In the Immunizations panel:
- Select an order from the grid.
The selected order details appear in the Details of individual order section at the bottom of the template.
In the Cosign/sign off orders section, the system selects the Immunization order option by default.
- To sign off all the orders in the Immunizations panel, select the All orders option and document any comments in the Reason/explanation/comment field.
- Click Sign/Update. The current user name and the current system date appear in the Cosigned by column and Cosigned column respectively.
To select the priority of the task and send the task to a pre-configured recipient for any further action, click Quick Task.The Quick Task Setup template opens the first time you click Quick Task so you can configure the task recipient to automatically send the orders to as the orders are being placed in run-time. Click the cog button to open the Quick Task Setup template any time after initially setting up task recipients to make any changes.
Note: The task recipient is configured in the Practice Configuration practice template.Task is used to task the orders to a specific recipient for cosignatures and/or sign off.
The Lab/Radiology Order Processing link is used to process and submit lab orders to the lab vendor.
- Select an order from the grid.
- Click Save & Close.
