Enable the Copy All Diagnosis, Assessment, and Plan Functionality

You can copy the diagnosis, assessment, and plan details of the selected encounter if you enable the Show Copy All Diagnosis, Assessment and Plan practice setting. The Copy All Dx/AP button on the Copy Historical DAP template enables you to copy all assessment, diagnosis, and plan details of the selected encounter. You must enable the Show Copy All Diagnosis, Assessment/Plan setting on the Practice Configuration practice template, to display the Copy All Dx/AP button. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, click System \ Practice templates. On the System tab, double-click Configuration Home. On the left pane, click the Practice Configuration template. In the Assessment section, select the Show Copy All Diagnosis, Assessment/Plan checkbox. Configuring Cardiology Visit Types

You can configure and update the visit types for the Cardiology specialty on the Card Setup Visit Types template. The configured visit types appear in the Visit Type list on the Home Page – Cardiology template. You can also assign and modify the Evaluation and Management coding criteria for each visit type in the EM CODING CRITERIA section. Open Card Setup Visit Types Template You can access the Card Setup Visit Types template from the System \ Practice template. Add Cardiology Visit Types You can add a Cardiology visit type using the VISIT TYPE section on the Card Setup Visit Types template. Modify Cardiology Visit Types You can modify a Cardiology visit type using the Card Setup Visit Types template. Managing Basic Configuration

NextGen Healthcare recommends that you configure the basic settings for ease of use NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Set Up Template Preferences You can configure the default and preferred templates to automatically open the templates for an encounter. You can also configure the workflow after opening an encounter from the Workflow Appointment list. Template Links You can use links to open frequently used templates. Navigation Bar On the navigation bar, you can find customizable links to open additional templates that may not be part of the main workflow. Copying Historical Diagnoses, Assessments, and Plans Details

You can copy historical diagnoses, assessments, and free text plans to the current encounter. You can copy previous three years diagnoses, assessments, and free text plans for the current encounter using the Copy Historical DAP template. Note: Plans with associated orders do not appear on the Copy Historical DAP template and cannot be copied to the current encounter. CAUTION: It is possible to copy an expired ICD code from a previous encounter to the current encounter. Clients must review the copied ICD codes and change the code to a valid ICD code, when applicable. You have two viewing options for the patient’s historical diagnosis, assessment, and plan (DAP) information on the Copy Historical DAP template. Encounter DAP Groups the historical DAP information by the encounter. All DAP Displays the default view of all historical diagnosis, assessment, and free text plan details. You have the following options to copy the diagnosis: Diagnosis Only Enables you to only copy the diagnosis.
