You can copy historical diagnoses, assessments, and free text plans to the current encounter.
You can copy previous three years diagnoses, assessments, and free text plans for the current encounter using the
Copy Historical DAP template.
Note: Plans with associated orders do not appear on the Copy Historical DAP template and cannot be copied to the current encounter.
CAUTION:
It is possible to copy an expired ICD code from a previous encounter to the current encounter. Clients must review the copied ICD codes and change the code to a valid ICD code, when applicable.
You have two viewing options for the patient’s historical diagnosis, assessment, and plan (DAP) information on the
Copy Historical DAP template.
- Encounter DAP

Groups the historical DAP information by the encounter.
- All DAP

Displays the default view of all historical diagnosis, assessment, and free text plan details.
You have the following options to copy the diagnosis:
- Diagnosis Only

Enables you to only copy the diagnosis.
- Diagnosis/Assessment/Plan

Enables you to copy the diagnosis, assessment, and free text plan details associated with the selected row.
Using the
Copy All Dx/AP button, you can copy all encounter DAP details which only appear on the
Copy Historical DAP template when the following is true.
- The Show Copy All Diagnosis, Assessment/Plan checkbox is selected in the Assessment section on the Practice Configuration practice template.
- The Encounter DAP viewing option is selected.
