Copy Diagnoses, Assessments, and Plans by Encounter

You can copy historical diagnoses, assessments, and narrative plans by the encounter.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. Open the Soap - Cardiology template.
3. Click the Assessment/Plan panel.
4. Click Copy Forward.
   The Copy Historical DAP template opens with the All DAP viewing option selected.

   Note: Plans with associated orders do not appear in the grid.
5. Select the Encounter DAP option.
   

   Previous three years encounter details appear in the grid.
6. To display the historical diagnosis, assessment, and plan information, select an encounter.
7. To copy the encounter DAP to today’s encounter, click Copy All Dx/AP.
   CAUTION:

   It is possible to copy an expired ICD code from a previous encounter to the current encounter. Clients must review the copied ICD codes and change the code to a valid ICD code, when applicable.
   The diagnoses, assessment, and plan details for the selected encounter is copied to the current encounter and appears in the Assessment/Plan panel.
8. Click Close.
