Copy Historical Diagnoses, Assessments, and Plans

You can copy historical diagnosis, assessment, and plan using the Copy Historical DAP template.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. Open the Soap - Cardiology template.
3. Click the Assessment/Plan panel.
4. Click Copy Forward.
   The Copy Historical DAP template opens with the All DAP and the Diagnosis/Assessment/Plan options selected.

   

   Note: To prevent duplicate entries, diagnosis codes from the current encounter do not appear in the DAP History grid. Plans with orders do not appear in the grid and cannot be copied to the current encounter.
5. Select the D (diagnosis) row associated with the DAP.
   The Copy Dx/AP button is enabled.
6. Click Copy Dx/AP.
   CAUTION:

   It is possible to copy an expired ICD code from a previous encounter to the current encounter. Clients must review copied ICD codes and change the code to a valid ICD code, when applicable.
   The diagnosis, assessment, and plan are copied to the current encounter.
7. To copy additional DAP information to the current encounter, follow the same steps.
8. Click Close.
