Copy Historical Diagnoses

You can copy only the historical diagnoses to the current encounter on the Copy Historical DAP template. The Diagnosis Only option enables you to view and copy previous three years diagnosis details from encounters to the current encounter. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On a patient encounter, open the Soap - Cardiology template. Click the Assessment/Plan panel. Click Copy Forward. The Copy Historical DAP template opens with the All DAP viewing option selected. Select the Diagnosis Only option. Copy Historical DAP - Diagnosis Only Note: To prevent duplicate entries, diagnosis codes for the current encounter do not appear in the DAP History grid. The Copy Historical DAP template displays the patient's historical diagnosis. Select a diagnosis. The Copy Dx/AP button is enabled. Click Copy Dx/AP. Copy Diagnoses, Assessments, and Plans by Encounter

You can copy historical diagnoses, assessments, and narrative plans by the encounter. Before you begin You must enable the Show Copy All Diagnosis, Assessment/Plan checkbox in the Assessment section on the Practice Configuration practice template to copy the DAP details for the selected encounter. You can copy the diagnosis, assessment, and plan details for the selected encounter on the Copy Historical DAP template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Soap - Cardiology template. Click the Assessment/Plan panel. Click Copy Forward.The Copy Historical DAP template opens with the All DAP viewing option selected. Note: Plans with associated orders do not appear in the grid. Add Assessments or Plans

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the SOAP template. Click the Assessment/Plan panel. From the left pane, click an assessment category link.The diagnosis search window displays a list of diagnoses for the category selected. Select an appropriate diagnosis and then click Select.The diagnosis has been added to and displayed in the grid with the letter “D” and lines for A and P. Assessment/Plan Panel Click the A row in the grid for a diagnosis.The Assessment And Plan template opens. Assessment And Plan Template Note: Certain diagnosis requires you to choose a category before documenting the details. This allows the appropriate assessments that match the ICD-10 code to display. Edit Assessments

You can edit assessments on the Assessment and Plan template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Soap - Cardiology template. Click the Assessment/Plan panel. Select the assessment that you want to edit. The Assessment And Plan template opens. In the Status grid, click Edit an Assessment. Edit an Assessment - Assessment And Plan The Assessment grid displays the assessments for the current encounter. In the Assessment grid, select the value to edit. Edit the assessment in the Free Text Assessment field. The updated text appears in the Assessment field. Click Update. Click Accept. Copying Historical Diagnoses, Assessments, and Plans Details

You can copy historical diagnoses, assessments, and free text plans to the current encounter. You can copy previous three years diagnoses, assessments, and free text plans for the current encounter using the Copy Historical DAP template. Note: Plans with associated orders do not appear on the Copy Historical DAP template and cannot be copied to the current encounter. CAUTION: It is possible to copy an expired ICD code from a previous encounter to the current encounter. Clients must review the copied ICD codes and change the code to a valid ICD code, when applicable. You have two viewing options for the patient’s historical diagnosis, assessment, and plan (DAP) information on the Copy Historical DAP template. Encounter DAP Groups the historical DAP information by the encounter. All DAP Displays the default view of all historical diagnosis, assessment, and free text plan details. Enable the Copy All Diagnosis, Assessment, and Plan Functionality

You can copy the diagnosis, assessment, and plan details of the selected encounter if you enable the Show Copy All Diagnosis, Assessment and Plan practice setting. The Copy All Dx/AP button on the Copy Historical DAP template enables you to copy all assessment, diagnosis, and plan details of the selected encounter. You must enable the Show Copy All Diagnosis, Assessment/Plan setting on the Practice Configuration practice template, to display the Copy All Dx/AP button. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, click System \ Practice templates. On the System tab, double-click Configuration Home. On the left pane, click the Practice Configuration template. In the Assessment section, select the Show Copy All Diagnosis, Assessment/Plan checkbox.
