Configuring DAP Plans

You can configure DAP plan items on the Card Setup DAP Plans template. The configured DAP plans appear in the Assessment/Plan panel on the Soap – Cardiology template. Card Setup DAP Plans Add Plan Types You can add a plan type on the Card Setup DAP Plans template. Add Diagnosis Plans You can add diagnosis plans on the Card UPD Plan Types section in the Card Setup DAP Plans practice template. Modify Diagnosis Plans You can modify diagnosis plans on the Card Setup DAP Assessments window. Enable the Copy All Diagnosis, Assessment, and Plan Functionality

You can copy the diagnosis, assessment, and plan details of the selected encounter if you enable the Show Copy All Diagnosis, Assessment and Plan practice setting. The Copy All Dx/AP button on the Copy Historical DAP template enables you to copy all assessment, diagnosis, and plan details of the selected encounter. You must enable the Show Copy All Diagnosis, Assessment/Plan setting on the Practice Configuration practice template, to display the Copy All Dx/AP button. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, click System \ Practice templates. On the System tab, double-click Configuration Home. On the left pane, click the Practice Configuration template. In the Assessment section, select the Show Copy All Diagnosis, Assessment/Plan checkbox. Configuring Cardiology Visit Types

You can configure and update the visit types for the Cardiology specialty on the Card Setup Visit Types template. The configured visit types appear in the Visit Type list on the Home Page – Cardiology template. You can also assign and modify the Evaluation and Management coding criteria for each visit type in the EM CODING CRITERIA section. Open Card Setup Visit Types Template You can access the Card Setup Visit Types template from the System \ Practice template. Add Cardiology Visit Types You can add a Cardiology visit type using the VISIT TYPE section on the Card Setup Visit Types template. Modify Cardiology Visit Types You can modify a Cardiology visit type using the Card Setup Visit Types template. Assign Evaluation and Management Coding Criteria You can assign Evaluation and Management coding criteria to a cardiology visit type. Configure Appointment Locations

You can add appointment locations that are outside your practice by location type, such as office, hospital, testing, and lab. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open System / Practice Template. On the Practice tab, double-click Card Setup Appt Locations. The Card Setup Appt Locations opens. To associate an appointment location to a type, select a type, such as Office, Hospital, Testing, and Lab. You can select one or more types. In the top row of the APPOINTMENT LOCATIONS template, enter the appointment location details. Appointment Locations Click Add. Manage Diagnosis Statuses

You can manage diagnosis statuses on the Card Setup DAP Assessments window. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open System / Practice Template. On the Practice tab, double-click Card Setup DAP Assessments. The CARD Setup DAP Assessments template opens. To add a diagnosis status, enter the choice, and status, and click Add. To update a diagnosis status, select the status, make the desired changes in Choice and Status, and click Update. To delete a diagnosis status, select the status, and click Delete. Modify Diagnosis Assessments

You can modify diagnosis assessment using the Card Setup DAP Assessments template in the System / Practice template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Card Setup DAP Assessments template, go to the DIAGNOSIS ASSESSMENT section. Select the diagnosis assessment to be modified. Click the Assessment Picklist link. The Assessment Picklist template opens. Select an assessment from the list and click OK. Make the desired changes to the text field above Assessment, and click Update. To delete the diagnosis assessment, in the DIAGNOSIS ASSESSMENT section, select the diagnosis assessment, and click Delete.
