Invite a Guest to Your Visit

You can invite your friend, care giver, or a family member as a guest to your visit. If you did not invite a guest before the visit, you can invite them after the start of the visit. Note: Inviting patient guest option is not available for group visits. To invite a guest, do one of the following: From the NextGen Virtual Visits™ confirmation emails or text message you received, select Invite a Guest, authenticate your email or mobile number with one-time password (OTP), and then select Add Guest. During the visit, select Invite Guest . The Add Guest window opens. Enter the guest's first and last name, email or phone number, select from the Relationship to patients list, then select authorize checkbox, and then select Add. The guest is added to your visit. End Your Visit

When you have finished your visit, select End Visit. A confirmation window opens. Select Yes to confirm that you want to end the visit. Complete the brief survey about your virtual visit experience. If you have questions regarding your health care needs, payment, or scheduling, contact your provider’s office directly. If you accidentally end your visit, you can return to the visit as long as the provider is still connected. To return to the visit, use the same link from the email or text. Join Your Visit

Before you begin Make sure you're in a private room with reliable Wi-Fi® or cellular service. Review the Devices and Connection Guide at Patient Resources. Before your visit, run a quick test on your device at Run Quick Video and Audio Test. Note: If you have questions regarding your health care needs, payment, or scheduling, contact your provider's office. From the NextGen Virtual Visits™ confirmation or remainder emails or text message you received, select Join Visit, or copy and paste the URL into your browser. Optional: To make sure you are using a supported device, select Test My Device before you join the visit. On your virtual visit page, select from the language list, and then select Check-in. On Terms and Consent, review and select the necessary checkboxes, and then select Next. Select from the Patient Location list, select Next, complete the intake questions, and then select Next. NextGen Virtual Visits™ Overview

NextGen Virtual Visits™ is a cloud-based telehealth solution that allows a patient to have a remote visit with a provider with the option to include video. The visit takes place through the Web browser, so no separate application is needed. Your provider may have customized your experience so that you may experience one or more of the following: payment collection, inviting a guest or intake questions. Join Your Visit You can join your virtual visit from your mobile or desktop device through the NextGen Virtual Visits™ confirmation email or text message. Invite a Guest to Your Visit You can invite a guest to your virtual visit before you joining a visit or after the start of the visit. Add a Patient Guest Before a Visit

Within NextGen Virtual Visits™, select the VisitsVisits icon icon from the main menu. In the Upcoming tab, select the visit you want to add a guest to. In the Invited Guests panel, select Add GuestAdd Guest icon. Select Yes. In the applicable fields, enter the guest’s First Name, Last Name, and their Relationship to the Patient . In the How should this guest receive their invite field, select the box next to the preferred way to contact the guest. This method is used to send the invitation to join the visit to the guest. If the patient has authorized this guest to join the visit, select the Patient (or legal representative) authorized disclosure of visit data to specified guest option. Select Add. Completing a Virtual Visit

To complete a visit, you have the following two options: Leave Visit – The visit link remains active so that other users at your practice can continue the visit with the patient. End Visit - This ends the visit for the patient and all other users. The visit link becomes inactive, and the visit is marked as complete. The encounter is marked as Checked Out in NextGen® Enterprise PM. You can then finalize the encounter in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. After the visit is complete, a copy of the Virtual Visit Summary is attached to the patient encounter in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. This document contains visit and patient details, patient signoffs, answers to patient intake questions, and a chat transcript (for single patient visits). The chat transcript includes the names of all documents shared during the visit. You can view the amount of time spent on the visit, a copy of your chat transcript, and patient intake questions, from the encounter folder Virtual Visit in the patient’s chart.
