Coding Procedures

Button	Description
View	You can click this button to view the items from the coding grid on the IORTS FV View template and attach modifiers.
Reset Codes	You can click this button to remove the diagnosis code for an item selected in the coding grid.
Reset All Codes	You can click this button to remove the diagnosis code for all items in the coding grid.
Submit	You can click this button to submit charges for all items in the coding grid.

Apply Diagnoses to Procedures

To add all selected diagnoses to all procedures in the bottom grid, click the Apply To All button. Any diagnosis with a check mark is added to all procedure in the coding grid. To apply codes to individual procedures, do the following: Select the diagnosis codes desired for the procedure. Select the procedure. Click the Apply Codes button. Make Changes to Submitted Charges with the Administrative Override

Any changes to submitted charges require an administrative override. Only users configured to have administrative override rights can reset codes on a submitted procedure. Administrative Override on the Finalize Visit template On the Finalize Visit template, select the Administrative Override check box. This enters the user’s name with a date and timestamp. Click the Reset Codes button. The IORTS FV Adminover template opens. Select the item for which you want to override the charges. Click Reset Codes. Click Close to return to the Finalize Visit template. Re-code and submit the charges. Note: This does not remove charges that have already been sent. Add an Assessment (Diagnosis)

The Today’s Diagnosis grid pulls in diagnoses that were entered on the Billable Visit template under the Diagnosis Management section. Diagnoses with a check mark are selected to be applied to Procedure codes in the coding grid. All diagnoses are selected by default when you open the Finalize Visit template. Click the Add - Remove button below the Today’s Diagnosis grid. The IORTS FV Add Assess template opens. IORTS FV Add Assess template Double-click the diagnosis in the patient’s Diagnosis grid to add it to the Today’s Diagnosis grid. Note: If a diagnosis is not in the grid, you can find and add it by using the Add button (or the Problem IT button if your practice is configured to use IMO). Manage the Pre-Operative Visit to Submit Charges

You can add or remove the pre-operative visit to submit charges and finalize a visit. On the appropriate template, click Finalize Visit in the workflow tab. The Finalize Visit template opens. To add Pre-Op to the coding grid of the Finalize Visit template, do the following: Select Pre-Op from the Non-Billable & Initial Fracture Care grid. The IORTSfinalize Po window opens. Finalize visit checklist for pre-operative checklist The IORTSfinalize Po window opens only if dictation for the provider or practice is configured in the Dictation panel on the Practice Configuration template. If the dictation is not configured, the Pre-Op option is added as an entry in the coding grid, and a check mark appears for the Pre-Op option in the Non-Billable & Initial Fracture Care grid. View and Change the Order of Diagnoses Codes

You can view diagnosis codes attached to a procedure and change the order in which those codes are displayed for billing purposes. On the Finalize Visit template, click the View button under the grid displaying the Visit Type, Billing Status, Description, and more. The IORTS FV View template opens. IORTS FV View template Select a procedure from the Procedures grid to view the diagnosis codes. A diamond next to the procedure indicates the selected procedure. The fields below the grid fill with the corresponding data from the grid. The lower left section displays ICD codes attached to the selected procedure. To change the order of the codes, select a diagnosis code and use the up and down arrows to move the code up or down in the list. The code at the top is the primary ICD code.
