In general, the workflow for working on a task has three phases:
As a user goes through these phases, they must use the Edit Task window to update various fields and change the status of the task, so that it can be accurately tracked and reported on. The following is a description of each phase:
The Edit Task window can be used by anyone who is assigned Allow Task Modification security rights. Additional security rights must be assigned to modify information on the Instructions tab. Modifications to this tab require the Allow Task Instruction Modification security rights. These security rights allows you to control who can make task changes. Typically, the person assigned the task would be given security rights to be able to work on the task and an administrator would need to make changes, such as changing the priority of a task or assigning a task to a different user or multiple users.
When modifications are being made, they can be made to a single task or multiple tasks for the same source. They can also be made when manually creating a task for the same source.
