Tasks Practice Preference Descriptions
The following table provides descriptions for the fields found in Tasks Practice Preferences.
Required/Default Fields
Field | Description |
---|---|
Required Fields | Select the fields that you want to be required fields when a user opens a task:
|
When Status is Completed | Select the fields to require, have default information, or to prevent certain kinds of changes when a task is opened and has the status set to Completed. Select the fields to require: Require Completed By Require Completion Date Require Completion Reason Select field default information: Default Completed By with Current User Default Completion Date with Current Date Select which changes to prevent: Do Not Allow Past Completion Dates - The minimum date is set to the current date when a single task is opened or when multiple tasks are opened (even if the multiple tasks have different existing completion dates). Do Not Allow Modification of Completion Date - Disables the Completion Date field Do Not Allow Modification of Completed By - Disables the Completion By field |
Claim Edits | Select Skip claim edit with completed tasks to allow claim edits to pass when the task associated with it is complete. If the preference is turned on and the severity is set to something other than Warning, then when an edit triggers and there is already a completed task associated with it, the severity resets to Warning for that line item on the Claims Productions Status report. This severity allows the claim to be created clean when it otherwise would have created a dirty claim.

Task Approval Profile | If your practice uses transaction approvals, select the task approval profile to use for transactions that are entered when the source is Account or Budget. The profile determines who can approve the transactions. This field lists only the profiles with the location set to All. For more information about setting up the profiles, see Task Approval Profiles in File Maintenance Master Files Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. |
