Working with Tasks from the Appointment Book

The Tasks/Prov tab of the Edit Appointment window provides access to Worklog tasks associated with a specified patient. You can view existing task information, open tasks, or create new tasks. Tasks/Providers Tab

The Tasks/Providers tab on the Add/Edit Appointment window displays a listing of all worklog tasks associated to the patient in the top section labeled Tasks. From the right-click menu in this section, new tasks can be created and existing tasks can be modified, deleted or hidden. A list of preferred providers associated to the patient displays in the bottom section labeled Patient Providers. This section is view only. Providers can be entered on the Add/Modify Patient Information > Provider tab if the tab has been enabled in Practice Preferences > Providers. Parent topic: Appointment Information

Open the Orders Module from the Task List

You can access the orders module for a patient associated with a task. Select the task in the task list. Below the details section, select Orders on the toolbar to open the Orders module for the selected patient. The Orders module opens to the Results tab. Parent topic: Task Recipient Actions

Workable Task

NextGen® Enterprise PM users can access workable tasks in Worklog or during AutoFlow in the Work Tasks window where they can view the appointment request details. They can copy the appointment request data and paste it as a new appointment into the appointment book or they can book the appointment through appointment search ahead. Note: Tasks that are set up as workable tasks with a source type of Encounter, Chart, or Appointment are displayed during auto-flow and from the right-click > Work Tasks menu option.
