Accept a Task

You can just accept an assigned task, or in one step accept the task and complete it or also open the associated patient chart and module. If you accept a task that was sent to multiple recipients, only you and the person who originally assigned the task can view it in the Clinical Tasking tab. After you accept a task, you can update the task categories. You must complete a task when you finish it. In the task list, select a task assigned to you. The icon indicates a pending task. The task details open. Note: You cannot add or remove recipients from the To field in the task details. You can reassign the task recipients and set up workgroups. To just accept the task, do one of the following: Select Accept . Double-click the task. In Clinical tasking, if the Accept Task enabled, on Double click, the task is automatically accepted, and the patient chart is opened. Restore a Task

You can restore removed tasks that have not been permanently deleted. Select Clinical Tasks > Show Removed Tasks. Select a removed task from the task list. All removed tasks are displayed with a strikethrough line. Select Restore in the toolbar. A Clinical Tasking confirmation window opens. Select OK to restore the deleted task. You can open the Orders module from Top Toolbar in NextGen® Enterprise EHR to create and manage your orders . You can also access orders from the applicable templates if you are using NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine to place orders. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. The NextGen® Enterprise EHR main window opens. To open the Orders module, do one of the following: Select Orders on the Quick Buttons panel. Task Recipient Actions

You can perform following actions: Accept, reject, reply to, reassign, complete, remove, or restore a task. Respond to a PAQ action task. Attach a NextGen Document Management image to a task. Open a patient's chart or the Orders module from the task list. Accept, reject, approve, or deny Electronic Prescribing (eRx) refill requests and resolve unmatched requests. Accept and manage action required or approved Electronic Prior Authorization (ePA) tasks. Receive notifications for completed orders and Carequality/Surescripts patient information requests. View Order Tasks on Restricted Patients

If a patient in your practice has a restricted status that controls who can see their medical information, it effects how tasks related to that patient are restricted for display in the Workflow module. Users that do not have restricted status can see all of the patients; users that have restricted status can only see a message in the task window. Open System Administrator. Open the practice, select a user, and select the General tab. Select the Exclusion check box and select Modify to open the Modify Exclusion List window. Select a patient. Select Close and then select Update on the General tab. Close System Administrator. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, Create a workgroup, name it and add this user to the workgroup. Save the workgroup. Open the Orders module Select a diagnosis and test order. Select Save & Task. Select the check box for the workgroup that you created in the earlier steps, and select OK. When that user opens the Workflow module, the tasks related to test orders for that
