Patient Tab

The Patient tab on the Add/Edit Appointment window is the default tab. It displays demographics and other appointment related information such as encounter number/date and rendering/referring physicians. Working with Tasks from the Appointment Book

The Tasks/Prov tab of the Edit Appointment window provides access to Worklog tasks associated with a specified patient. You can view existing task information, open tasks, or create new tasks. Displaying Only Selected Providers

You can control which physicians display in a provider list box. By assigning a Provider Type to each provider on the Provider Types tab of the Modify Provider Information dialog box, you can categorize the physicians so that only the appropriate ones display in the provider list box during tasks such as encounter and appointment creation. The system-defined Provider Types that you can assign to a physician are: Admitting Provider First Consulting Provider Second Consulting Provider Primary Care Provider Referring Provider You can also assign user-defined provider types to providers on the Modify Provider Information window. Lookup Appointments by Patient Group

You can use the Appointment Lookup window to search for appointments for patients in a specific patient group. To access the Appointment Lookup window, do one of the following: From the main toolbar, select Appt List. From the Tasks menu, select Lookup and then Appointments. The Appointment Lookup window opens. Enter appointment lookup search criteria to find the desired appointments. Multiple parameters can be used. For example, select an Appointment Date, an Event, and a Resource. In the Patient Group field, select a group name to further limit the search results to include only appointments for patients in a specific group. Note: This field displays only if the Enable Group Scheduling check box is selected in Practice Preferences > Appt Scheduling. Select Find. Add a Patient to the Pre-Reg Worklog

You can add a new worklog entry, or open one to view and update patient information details. From the Home template, click the Pre Reg link. On the Pre-Reg Worklog template, right-click in the grid and select Add New. The Coordinator Tasks window opens. Coordinator Tasks window Enter the patient information, provider, and referring provider details. Select from the following: Clinically Approved Billing Approved Appt Made and Appt.Dt. Clinical 1 Complete Clinical 2 Complete Pre Registration Complete Enter any Notes for other schedulers/coordinators. Click Save. Click Close to return to the Pre-Reg Worklog template.
