Enhanced Reports in NextGen® Enterprise PM

An Enhanced Reporting feature can be enabled to improve the system performance for specific reports in NextGen® Enterprise PM. These are reports that are typically database intensive when they are generated due to the large amount of data being reported. When enabled, a new user interface and paging mechanism is utilized that allows these reports to be generated, viewed, printed and exported in a timelier manner. Process Generated Reports

There are specific processes in NextGen® Enterprise PM that automatically generate a report. These include the Batch Transaction Report, Claim Production Status, Electronic Send Report, Encounters Pending Bad Debt, Statements Exception Report and the ERA Posting Report. NextGen® Enterprise PM Reports

The Reports User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise PM provides information for configuring and generating reports in NextGen® Enterprise PM. You can create reports commonly used in your practice, and each report can be customized by selecting the desired columns, filters and sorting options. Note: Behavior such as the system crashing or out of memory errors can be experienced if you run a report that is pulling more data than the system or application can handle. It is recommended to use report filter options to minimize the report output so that the reports can be generated, viewed, printed, and exported without any issues. System Reports

The System reports category includes various reports that you can use to review and validate specific types of data stored within the database. These reports check for a variety of data conditions that may potentially cause erroneous results on other reports generated in NextGen® Enterprise PM. When each system report is run, no data or a blank report is ideal. A blank report indicates there are no data validation and maintenance issues. Note: All system reports should be run at least once per month. You should run them prior to generating your month end reports so that any data validation and maintenance issues can be identified and resolved before your monthly reports are printed. Reports Menu

The Reports menu includes preconfigured reports, ranging from daily appointments to monthly transactions, that provide information on specific areas of your practice. You can generate many types of reports such as claims, alerts schedules, tasks and more. System-generated reports use default settings to filter the data to determine which information to include in the report and how to display the information. When you open a report from the Reports menu, the Report Filter window opens, where you can select options and parameters to filter the data. Based on the options you select, NextGen® Enterprise PM quickly runs the requested information and displays reports in the order and format you choose.
