Exporting Statements

You can export statements to create ASCII files that are sent to a third-party vendor for processing (printing and mailing). Both individual demand statements and batch statements can be exported. You must work closely with your statement processing vendor to ensure export files are created in NextGen® Enterprise PM and formatted using the appropriate data Delimiter and Text Qualifier required by the vendor. These must be defined in Practice Preferences > Forms > Export Options. Note: If you are using NextGen® EDI statement services, ensure to set the export options in Practice Preferences > Forms: Delimiter = <comma> and Text Qualifier = “. However, you can change and memorize, or save, report options to create reports that fit your needs. Statement Run Report

The Statement Run report generates when you select the Update Last Statement Dates check box on the Statement Options window, and you select Yes on the Did Statements Print/Export Correctly? message. The Statement Run report automatically generates when an individual demand statement or a batch of statements is printed or exported in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The report shows information for each account in the statement run. The Statement Run report can also be manually generated before printing or exporting a demand statement or a batch of statements. A report that is run prior to generating statements can be used to: Review which accounts are in the current batch and are ready to have a statement generated. Review the Credit Balance column on the report to identify accounts that should have their credit balance resolved prior to generating statements. Budget Process Status Report

The Budget Process Status report automatically generates when budget letters are printed or exported in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The report generates when you select the Update Budget Dates check box on the Budget Letters window, and you select Yes on the Did the Letters Print/Export Correctly? prompt. The report shows information for each account in the budget letter run. Electronic Send Report

When creating an electronic claims file in NextGen® Enterprise PM, if you select the Report Results check box on the 837 Electronic File Creation window, an Electronic Send Report generates showing each encounter included in the file and the total amount being billed on each claim. Columns on the report include batch number (generated during the claim build), EMC (Electronic Media Claims) provider number, encounter number, patient name, payer name, policy number, and the amount being billed. Generate a Statement Run Report

To generate a Statement Run report before printing or exporting batch statements, do the following: Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the File menu, select Print Forms, and then Statements. The Statement Options window opens. The default settings on the Statement Options > General tab are from pre-defined settings in Practice Preferences > Statements.
