Send a Mail Message to NextGen and Outlook Users

  1. From the main toolbar, select the Mailbox button.
    The NextGen Mailbox window appears.
  2. From the mailbox toolbar, select the New Message button.
    The New Message window appears.

The Message tab displays two recipient fields: To NextGen and To Outlook.

The field that is required is the one that is selected as the Default Mail Option in General User Preferences.

  3. Do the following:
    • In the To NextGen field, double-click <<Double-Click to Select Mail Recipient(s)>> to select recipients from the NextGen address book, and then select OK.
    • In the To Outlook field, double-click <<Double-Click to Select Mail Recipient(s)>> to select recipients from the Outlook address book, and then select OK.
The New Message window displays the selected recipients in the To NextGen and To Outlook fields.
  4. In the Subject field, enter a free-text subject for the mail message.
  5. In the blank section at the bottom of the window, enter free-text details for the body content of the mail message.
  6. To send the mail message, select the Send Message button on the mailbox toolbar.
    The NextGen Mailbox window reappears.
  7. For NextGen users, the mail message is sent to their Inbox folder in the NextGen Mailbox.
  8. For Outlook users, the mail message is sent to their Inbox folder in the Outlook Mailbox.
