Enterprise Scheduling Administration

In NextGen® Enterprise PM, Enterprise Scheduling Administration is available if you have access to more than one practice for which the Enable Enterprise Scheduling Administration practice preference is enabled and Enterprise Scheduling Administration permission in System Administration is set to Yes. You can open Enterprise Scheduling Administration in the following ways. By selecting Admin> Scheduling Admin> Enterprise. By selecting the icon in Appointment Book. The Enterprise Scheduling Administration window has the following tabs: Enterprise Class Resources Enterprise Events Service Locations Enterprise Class You can view, add, edit, and delete enterprise classes, and print an enterprise class listing report. Resources - Enterprise Scheduling Admin You can view the resources from all the practices to which you have access and for which Enterprise Appointment Scheduling is enabled. Categories Tab - Sched Admin

On the Categories tab, you define groupings of events, or appointment types. You can use the categories while creating weekly and daily templates for resources. Each category is mapped to a specific time slot within a template, restricting the types of events that you can schedule appointments for the specified times. You can define color for each category and it displays in the Appointment Book window when you schedule an appointment. The color provides users at-a-glance guidance as to where certain type of appointments can be scheduled. Note: When you select the Enable Enterprise Appointment Scheduling option in Practice Preferences, the Scheduling Administration window name changes to Practice Scheduling Administration. Appointment Scheduling Preferences

Appointment Scheduling Preferences control how specific functions and tasks work in the Appointment Book in NextGen® Enterprise PM. While some settings are strictly for customizing the display, others affect the application behavior. You must complete these settings before opening the Appointment Book for the first time. In File Maintenance, scheduling preferences can be defined in the Default User Prefs - Scheduling master file, and then assigned to groups of users or individual users in System Administrator. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, you can modify your own scheduling preferences in Admin > Preferences > User > Scheduling. Your settings override any default settings that were assigned to you in System Administrator. The Scheduling module subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to access various Scheduling Administrator functions.
