Event Chains Tab - Sched Admin
On the Event Chains tab, you can define groupings of events or appointment types that must be scheduled together as a series of appointments. You can use an event chain to schedule multiple appointments for a patient simultaneously instead of scheduling each appointment separately.
The individual events within an event chain are referred to as event chain members. Event chain members can be scheduled with the same or different resources, within minutes, hours, or days of each other. The event chain setup determines whether the event chain members must be scheduled in a specific sequence or scheduled in a best fit sequence.
Existing event chains are listed on the Event Chains tab with the following information:
- Event Chain: The name of the event chain.
- Short: The short description for the event chain (1 - 3 characters).
The following options are available from the open menu button, or the right-click menu:
- New: To create a new event chain.
- Open: To open an existing event chain.
- Delete: To delete an existing event chain.
- Print: To print an Event Chain Listing report.
