Clinical Message Manager Universal Preferences
The following lists the Clinical Message Manager Universal Preferences.

Fill Patient Information When Matching | Specifies whether the Patient Lookup window is automatically populated with the demographics received in the message. |
Max Rows Viewable | Specifies the number of records that can display in the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager data grid at one time. The default value is 300. The maximum number is 1000. |
Must Provide Order Search Criteria | When set to True, users must provide at least one search criteria when searching for orders to increase the speed of the search. |
Notify NextGen® Clinical Message Manager User | When set to True, the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager sends a task notification to the Clinical Message Manager User for each record committed. |
Notify Order Creator | When set to True, the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager sends a task notification to the Order Creator for each record committed. |
Notify Ordering Provider | When set to True, the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager sends a task notification to the Ordering Provider for each record committed. |
Override Agent Workflow Options with System Admin Options | When set to True, the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager agent uses the Universal Preferences instead of the NextGen® Enterprise Rosetta Interface Messenger agent options for Workflow Notification. When set to False, the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager agent uses the NextGen® Enterprise Rosetta Interface Messenger agent options for Workflow Notification. |
Override Interface User Id with NextGen® Clinical Message Manager Id | When set to True, the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager uses the ID of the currently logged in user when it commits records to the database. When set to False, the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager uses the ID of the interface user when it commits records to the database. |
Reason for Delete of NextGen® Clinical Message Manager User | When set to True, the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager displays Queued Message Delete Reason message box requesting you to enter the reason for deletion when you delete a message item from Interface Queue Tools. |
Update Group Workflow | When set to True, with appropriate Lab Result Notifications options configured in File Maintenance, the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager sends a task notification to members of the defined group for each record committed. |
Use Simple Workflow Notification | When set to True, the system just sends a message (you cannot assign tasks, send emails, update patient appointments, etc.) to the Workflow module that a record has been committed. |
Update Patient Xref | When set to True, the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager updates the person_external_xref table with the External Person ID. As a result the interface is able to match the patient when a message comes in with the same External ID and the interface is set to match patient on External Patient ID. |
Use Transactions When Committing Records | When set to True or not set, and an agent has the Use Transactions option enabled, transactions are used when you commit records in the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager. When set to False, transactions are not used. |
