View Message Details

You can display details for any single category of messages, such as Lab Results, Documents, and so on. On the Message Manager View tab, do one of the following: In the left pane, select one of the listed categories. If you are viewing message statistics, double-click within any of the category columns in the right pane, excluding the Date column or in the column headers. The right pane displays details for the selected category of messages. For each message, columns display a number of values. For example, for Lab Results, values display for the date, last name, first name, DOB (date of birth), gender, SSN (Social Security number), provider, NextGen order number, external order number, location, and description. If the column headers are truncated, resize the window by dragging the right edge further to the right. To specify the length of the date range, select the Change Display Filter button. View Transaction History for Messages

The transaction history shows how many messages were processed by particular NextGen® Clinical Message Manager users on dates in the recent past. From the Message Manager View tab, select Clinical Message Manager in the left pane, if it is not already selected. If the Display Transaction History Information preference is enabled, a list of the count of transactions appears at the bottom of the right pane. The list is organized by date, user name, and message category ( Lab Results, Documents, and so on). To specify the length of the date range, select the Change Display Filter button, and then use the slider to choose how many days to include. The maximum is 30 days. Select OK. Configure Message Manager View Preferences

You can configure the Message Manager View to set the preferences. From the Message Manager View menu, select Preferences. The Message Manager View Preferences window opens. To indicate whether orphaned items should be displayed by default, select or clear the Automatically Include Orphaned Items check box. Later, you can override this default when you view message statistics or view message details. You can modify the Automatically Include Orphaned Items check box only if the View Orphaned Records access right is enabled for your account. Otherwise, the Automatically Include Orphaned Items check box is empty and cannot be modified. To indicate whether transaction history hsould be displayed, select or clear the Display Transaction History Information check box. This option impacts your ability to view transaction history for messages. To limit the number of messages that can be displayed when you view message details, set the Maximum Detail Rows value. Message Manager View Prerequisites

For the Message Manager View tab to appear in the Workflow module, ensure that: The NextGen® Clinical Message Manager application is installed. Access NextGen® Clinical Message Manager Application

After viewing message statistics, message details, or transaction history, you can run the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager to view further message details or to process and correct a message so it can be imported. On the Message Manager View tab, select the Clinical Message Manager . If the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager is already running on your current Microsoft® Windows® session, a warning message appears. Select OK and use the Windows Taskbar to switch to the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager application. Otherwise, the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager opens. Refresh the Message Manager View

You must refresh the data in the Message Manager if you do the following: You are using the Message Manager View for an extended period of time. You open the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager and processed some messages while the Message Manager View open in the Workflow module. From the Message Manager View menu, select <Refresh>.
