View Emails that Failed to Send
You can view a list emails in the portal that failed to send. An email failure can occur when a patient has requested to be part of the opt-out list. Open Site Generator, and then select NextGen Healthcare Site Administration. The Site Generator page opens. From Portal Solutions, select Email Communication(Opt Out) > Recent Failures. The Recent Failures page opens. From the list of failed email communications, select a message to view more details. Parent topic: Email Communication

Add or Remove Email Addresses from the Opt-Out List
You can search for patients who have previously chosen not to receive email communications but currently want to receive emails from the practice. Open Site Generator, and then select NextGen Healthcare Site Administration. The Site Generator page opens. To remove an email address from Portal Solutions, select Email Communication (Opt Out) > Manage Opt Out List. The Manage Opt Out List page opens. Enter the email address to remove and then select Search. Select Remove from Opt Out List to remove the email from the opt out list. To add an email address, go to Portal Solutions and then select Email Communication (Opt Out) > Add Opt Out Email. The Add Opt Out Email page opens. Enter the email address to add and select Add email. A confirmation message appears, indicating that the email address has been added to the opt-out list. Parent topic: Email Communication

With Email Communication (Opt Out), you can monitor email communications sent to NextGen® PxP Portal users. You can search for messages, manage the opt-out list, add emails to the opt-out list, and configure the email template when needed. View Emails that Failed to Send You can view a list of email communications that was not successfully sent to the patients. View Status Report for Email Messages You can view a status report for email communication. Add or Remove Email Addresses from the Opt-Out List You can add or remove patient email addresses from the email opt-out list based on their requirement to receive email communication or not from NextGen® PxP Portal. Set Up Patient Messaging
Open Site Generator, and then select NextGen Healthcare Site Administration. The Site Generator page opens. From Portal Solutions, select Patient Messaging.The Patient Messaging page opens. Enter the email address in Default Reply to email Address. To add the SMS preference option for patient communication in NextGen® PxP Portal, select the SMS option and then select Save. To add attachments to your messages in Practice Portal, select Enable Attachment in "My Messages". To make My Labs available in NextGen® PxP Portal, select Enable "My Labs" in Patient Portal. Set Up Template Preferences
You can configure the default and preferred templates to automatically open the templates for an encounter. You can also configure the workflow after opening an encounter from the Workflow Appointment list. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select Tools > Preferences.The Preferences window opens. Preferences window Select the Templates tab. To move a commonly used template in the preferred list, select the template in the Available Templates list and then select the right arrow.The selected template appears in the Preferred Templates list. To select all templates, select the double-right arrow. To set a default template, from the Default Template list, select a template. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends setting the Home Page (fts_home_page) template as a default template which provides a clinical summary of the patient to the provider. Configure Test Results Notification
Before you begin Ensure that the Test Results solution is turned on, and the email and SMS notifications are enabled in Site Generator. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest User Guide for NextGen® PxP Portal Site Generator. You can enable the email and SMS settings in NextGen® PxP Portal to receive the test result notifications through email and SMS on your mobile device. Note: The email and SMS notification are applicable only for Test Results, and are distinct from Health Record updates. Open NextGen® PxP Portal. On the home page, select Account, and then select Edit. The My Account page opens. Select Preferences. The Preferences tab opens. To receive email notification, under Communication, select the Email check box for Test Result Information. To receive SMS notification, under Communication, select the SMS check box for Test Result Information. Select Save my changes. Parent topic: Manage Test Results
