Practice Configuration Options

You can configure the following practice-level options: Configuration Description RSDK API Sets the NextGen® PxP Portal username and password for a practice. The NextGen® PxP Portal RSDK API authentication details are derived from Site Generator. Default Config Selects the default location and provider for the patient forms when location and provider are not received from NextGen® PxP Portal. Appointment Request Sets the preference for creating appointments for a practice. EPM enables the creation of appointments in NextGen® Enterprise EHR from staff approved requests. NON-EPM enables the manual creation of appointments. Patient Invites Configures automatic enrollment invitation for patients in a practice. Other Configuration Sets a default user for the Continuity of Care Documents (CCDs) posted to NextGen® PxP Portal and the retry interval for failed secure messages. Turn on Portal Solutions

The Solution Configuration tab displays the portal solutions available for your practice. You can turn on the solutions required for your practice and also view and configure the agents associated with them. In PxP Portal Integration Tool, select Practice Config Practice Config icons. The Practice Config page opens. Select the Solution Configuration tab. Solution Configuration Tab To turn on a solution, turn on the corresponding toggle. To view the agents associated with a solution,expand the solution. Patient Portal solution expanded on the tab To turn on an agent, perform the following steps. To associate the agent with the solution, turn on the Associate toggle. To activate the agent, turn on the Active toggle. To activate the agent for the practice, turn on the Status toggle. Managing Practice Configuration

The available features in PxP Portal Integration Tool enable you to manage various practice-level configurations. Note: Before making practice-level configurations, ensure that you have completed the global and enterprise-level configurations for system administrators. As part of practice configuration, you can establish the RSDK API workflows for information exchange between NextGen® Enterprise and NextGen® PxP Portal, select the appointment request category for a practice, and configure a default user for the Continuity of Care Documents (CCDs) posted to NextGen® PxP Portal. View the Status of NextGen PxP Agents

Before you begin Ensure that Health Queues is turned on for your practice. You can view the status of the following NextGen® PxP Portal agents and their corresponding services. Message Type - This section displays the various message agents, count in their queue, corrective action to be taken by user if any and so on. Enrollment Status Overall - This section displays the various enrollment statuses of patients in your practice and their current processing statuses. CCD Generation Failed - This section displays the details of failed CCDs from your practice. Health Record CCD - This section displays the processing status of the health record CCDs sent from your practice. Inbound Form PDF - This section displays the details of forms submitted through NextGen® PxP Portal after they are added to patient encounters or patient-generated data table in NextGen Database. Edit Agent Options

You can edit the agent options in the configuration files to modify the default settings for generating Personal Health Records (PHR). Open NextGen Service Manager Console. In the Components pane, expand NextGen.Pxp.CcdaService, and select the database. Select Stop to stop NextGen Patient Portal CCD Service. Locate the configuration file. You can find the default configuration files in the C:\NextGen\Services\AWSVPQADB02.consolidated_testing.NextGenPatientPortalCCDService\Configs\Default location. Note: The folder name in the Services folder is a combination of the system name and database name. For example, if your system name is AWSVPQADB02 and the database name is consolidated_testing, the folder name is AWSVPQADB02.consolidated_testing.NextGenPatientPortalCCDService. Right-click the configuration file, and then select Edit with Notepad ++. The configuration file opens in Notepad ++. Agents for Appointments

You can view the agents relevant to the Appointments solution under Appointment on the Solutions tab. You can also search for and view the configuration of agents associated with Appointment on the Agent Configuration tab. Agent Name Description Event/Appointment Type Data Sync Gets the names and IDs of all events and appointments and sends them to the NextGen® Patient Experience Platform. Inbound Appointment Updates Gets all appointment confirmation updates from NextGen® PxP Portal users and updates the appointment status in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Outbound Appointment Details Gets all the current and future appointment details of a practice and sends them to the NextGen Patient Experience Platform for display of appointments, reminders and notifications. Appointment Data Sync Syncs appointment information from practice to the NextGen Patient Experience Platform based on the specified appointment sync parameters.
