Practice Configuration Options

Configuration	Description
RSDK API	Sets the NextGen® PxP Portal username and password for a practice. The NextGen® PxP Portal RSDK API authentication details are derived from Site Generator.
Default Config	Selects the default location and provider for the patient forms when location and provider are not received from NextGen® PxP Portal.
Appointment Request	Sets the preference for creating appointments for a practice. EPM enables the creation of appointments in NextGen® Enterprise EHR from staff approved requests. NON-EPM enables the manual creation of appointments.
Patient Invites	Configures automatic enrollment invitation for patients in a practice.
Other Configuration	Sets a default user for the Continuity of Care Documents (CCDs) posted to NextGen® PxP Portal and the retry interval for failed secure messages. You can turn on Clinical Tasking for your practice using the Enable Clinical Tasking option

Configure Days for Enrollment Re-invitation

To avoid sending multiple invitations to patients for enrolling with NextGen® PxP Portal within a specified time, you can configure the days within which no manual invites can be sent by providers from NextGen® Enterprise EHR and NextGen® Enterprise PM. Note: Automatic patient invites are sent when demographic updates are made to the patient accounts irrespective of the configured days. In PxP Portal Integration Tool, select Practice Config Practice Config icon in the left pane. The Practice Config page opens. Select the Practice Configuration tab. In the Patient Invites section, to enable multiple invitations to patients for enrolling with NextGen® PxP Portal, turn on Allow Duplicate Patient Invites. Allow Duplicate Patient Invites setting Enter the number of days within which no invitation can be sent to patients in Days before re-invite is allowed for a Patient. Select Save. The available features in PxP Portal Integration Tool enable you to manage various practice-level configurations. Note: Before making practice-level configurations, ensure that you have completed the global and enterprise-level configurations for system administrators. As part of practice configuration, you can establish the RSDK API workflows for information exchange between NextGen® Enterprise and NextGen® PxP Portal, select the appointment request category for a practice, and configure a default user for the Continuity of Care Documents (CCDs) posted to NextGen® PxP Portal. The Patient Portal action launches windows at run time that enable you to: Set up an account for a patient on the NextGen® PxP Portal website. Schedule the future delivery of a message to a patient enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal. After a message has been scheduled, you can review and edit or delete it, if necessary. Modify Enrollment Invitation Settings

On the Patient Activation page, you can configure enrollment invitation settings such as the enrollment type, the limit for resending enrollment invitations, and the interval for resending enrollment invitations. Note: To change this configuration, contact NextGen Healthcare. Open Site Generator, and then select NextGen Healthcare Site Administration. The Site Generator page opens. From Portal Solutions, select Patient Activation.The Patient Activation page opens. Configure the enrollment invitation settings as needed. Note: You must turn on the Enroll w/ SMS option for your practice to send the enrollment invitation link through the registered mobile number as a text message. The Enroll w/ SMS option is available only if Multi-Factor Authentication is turned on for your practice in the Site Generator Online Solutions. Select Save. Enroll a Patient in NextGen® PxP Portal

If the Patient Portal trigger action is Enrollment, you can set up a NextGen® PxP Portal account for the selected patient through NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For more information on the enrollment process, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest NextGen® PxP Portal Provider Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Ask your system administrator which NextGen® Enterprise EHR template and field to use. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, select the template that contains the Patient Portal trigger, and then select OK. Select the Patient Portal trigger on the applicable field. The following actions are triggered depending on the patient status: If the patient status is Not Enrolled and all mandatory patient information fields are filled, a NextGen® PxP Portal enrollment invitation email is sent to the patient.
