Pre-cert Template
The Pre-Cert template has a grid showing information for all payers attached to the case, a panel for messages that can be sent to payers, and a panel to view and record information on pre-certification and authorization. Precert Worklog
The Precert Worklog is a practice-level template that you can use to manage patient appointments that require pre-certification or that have a pre-cert that is about to expire. The Precert Worklog has the following panels. Appointments Requiring Precerts Expiring/Expired Precerts by Visits & Never Precerted Expiring/Expired Precerts by Units You can use the Launch Chart button to open a patient’s chart and update any patient-specific pre-certification information. Worklog Grid
Use the Worklog grid to set up which upcoming VISIT TYPE types trigger a patient’s name to appear in the Upcoming Appointments grid on the Precert Worklog template. Appointments Requiring Precerts
The Appointments Requiring Precerts grid displays patients that have upcoming appointments scheduled for payers that require a pre-cert. Payers can be configured to require a pre-cert in the Payers Defaults grid, on the Precert Config system template. Note: Only the payers that are configured in the Payer Defaults grid will have appointments that appear in the Appointments Requiring Precerts grid on the Pre-Cert Worklog. Appointments Requiring Precerts grid Patients remain listed in the Appointments Requiring Precerts grid until one of the following happens. A clinical encounter is created in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, attached to the case and documented on. The patient is checked in for an evaluation and the NTS Homepage or Single Visit template has been opened. This does not necessarily mean that a pre-cert was entered or documented. Opening a non-billable encounter and documenting anything from Homepage or Single Visit causes the patient’s name to move from the Appointments Requiring

Pre-Registration Worklog
You can use the Pre-Reg Worklog system template is reference tool for the pre-registration staff. You must add patients manually to the worklog via the Pre Reg template. Users tracking clinical approval, billing approval, etc. can track this information and launch the patient's chart directly from this worklog. You can manually add a patient to the worklog or you can add them from the Pre Reg template. You can access the Pre-Reg Worklog template from the Pre Reg link on the Home template. Correction Worklog
The Correction Worklog system template displays any patient encounter that is in the middle of a correction process and, in the Status column, which step is currently being worked on. This worklog helps ensure that the correction process is completed on every patient it is started on. Once all steps are completed, the patient automatically disappears from the worklog.
