POC Worklog

The POC Worklog grid lists all patients that have a Plan of Care that is not yet signed off. From this worklog, you can make updates to the status of a POC or open a patient’s chart by selecting the patient in the grid, and then selecting the Launch Chart tab. You can filter the grid by selecting the options above it. You can use additional filters to set the parameter of how far back to look for a POC that has not been signed (45, 60, or 90 days). You can filter the records using filter fields above the columns of the grid. POC Worklog grid If the POC is required is required by the payer, you cannot remove it from the grid. Encounter W/O Procs Report

You can also generate a corresponding report from SAP® Crystal Reports® software to pull the same information. Select File > Reports > Crystal Reports. The Report Dialog window opens. Daily Encounters (Encounters Listing) Report

The Daily Encounters (Encounters Listing) report is encounter based and displays every encounter for a specified date range. The report is sorted by practice, location name, rendering provider, payer name, financial class, and the encounter date and number. Totals are sum of charge amounts, and average of encounter age, with a subtotal for rendering provider within each practice, subtotal for each practice, and grand total of all practices. You also have the option to show the number of charges per encounter and generate the total sum of the number of charges for all the encounters listed. The totals generated by default include the total per encounter, the total count for all encounters for each provider, each location, and the practice. UnBilled Encounters Report

The UnBilled Encounters report is encounter based and shows every billed encounter for a specified date range. It displays the data under the primary payer or financial class on the encounter. For charges to show on the report, the charge must meet the criteria selected on all filters. Note: This report is identical to the Daily Encounters and Billed Encounters reports. The only difference is that each report has different encounter statuses pre-selected on Filter 1. There are several configurable filters available on the Report Filter > Settings List. Select the desired filters to narrow the data on the report. The report has "drill-down" functionality that enables you to double-click on a record to access the Patient Chart window directly from the report. Creating Encounters

Encounters can be created for patients from the following areas in NextGen® Enterprise PM: Appointment Book Patient Chart Tasks Menu Charge Posting Practice Preference for Required Encounter-Level Program In a practice, a program can be set to be required for an encounter for specific locations. Create an Encounter from an Appointment You can create an encounter for a patient with appointment from the appointment book. Create an Encounter from the Patient Chart You can create an encounter for a patient without appointment from the patients chart. Create an Encounter from the Tasks Menu You can create an encounter for a patient from the Tasks menu. Billing In Progress Encounters

In Progress encounters must be converted to an Unbilled encounter status before you can bill the encounter. There are two ways to convert In Progress encounters to Unbilled encounters. Demand Batch Note: When you convert an In Progress encounter to an Unbilled encounter, a process date (closing date) is assigned to all charges and transactions on the encounter. Any transactions that reside in an un-posted batch retain blank process dates and are not affected by the conversion. Convert In Progress Encounters on Demand You can convert an In Progress encounter to an Unbilled encounter.
