On the QuickPick toolbar, the refresh button Refresh button updates the entries on the template with any new information that has been entered recently (for example, by others working on the same patient’s chart elsewhere, or through a module you entered data in). You can create a QuickPick for a template with any amount of information filled in. If the template has questions and answers, you can include only questions or both questions and answers to save as part of the QuickPick. You can save the QuickPick to a rendering provider or as a system set. Note: To save a system set QuickPick, you must be in a security group with configured rights in the QuickPick Manager Configuration template. For more information about setting up security groups for system sets, refer to the Configuration Guide for NextGen® Therapy Suite. Open the template you want to create a QuickPick for. Make selections and enter information you want in the fields you want to save in the QuickPick. Template with Save button highlighted In the QuickPick toolbar, select Floppy disk button. The INF Default Save template opens. The Category field displays the name of the template you entered information in. You can only update QuickPicks that you created. Although you can use other providers' QuickPicks, you cannot modify them unless you first save a copy to your own QuickPick set. Open a template, and then do one of the following: Select Star button to list the rendering provider QuickPicks. Select Double Star button to list the System Set QuickPicks. Select a QuickPick, and then select OK to load it into the template. Make changes to the entries on the template. Select Floppy disk button. The INF Default Save window opens. The Name to be Updated or Deleted field displays the name of the QuickPick that was used. If you want to change the QuickPick name, enter a new name in the Name field. If you have an appropriate provider or System Set QuickPick to use, you can load it into an exam template to save time. For information on saving QuickPicks, see QuickPicks. Open the desired exam template. Do one of the following: For the rendering provider’s QuickPicks, select Star. For QuickPicks from other providers and System sets, select Double-Star. Select the QuickPick that you want to use, and then select OK. The QuickPick entries fill the template. Make changes to the entries on the template as necessary for the current patient. Use the QuickPicks panel to manage specific fields on QuickPicks, and to copy QuickPick sets. You can filter the QuickPicks set grid by category, set name, or provider. Selecting a QuickPick in the grid shows the table, field name and default values for that QuickPick in the larger grid below. You can manage QuickPicks that are available for providers and system sets. On the Specialty QuickPick Manager template, in the QuickPicks panel, you can manage QuickPicks that are already saved for providers and system sets. You can filter the values in the QuickPicks grid by category, set name, or provider by selecting the desired values in their corresponding fields.
