Configuring the Sub Bar Navigation Links

The Sub Bar Navigation links (subnavigation links) are blue links that appear below the navigation bar on workflow templates. There is room for up to eight of these on most templates, and up to sixteen on the NTS Homepage template. Sub Bar Navigation links on a template Use the Sub Bar Navigation grid to specify which links appear and what items they open. There are some pre-configured settings available for you in the Sub Bar Navigation panel. The asterisk (*) in the grid indicates that the corresponding record is the default setting for the templates that are not configured. You can change the links, display names, and order of links as needed. Top Bar Navigation

Use the Top Bar Navigation panel to set the default Visit Type/Workflow or Single Bar Navigation tab links, their display names, and their order. The Top Bar Navigation panel has two sections: Visit Type/Workflow section where you can configure templates accessed from the top bar of the standard workflow Single Bar Navigation section where you can configure templates accessed from the top bar of templates that are outside standard workflows. Navigation Bar

On the navigation bar, you can find customizable links to open additional templates that may not be part of the main workflow. You can also use links to return to templates within the main workflow. The links are dependent on the Specialty, Age, or Gender of the patient. Copy Navigation Settings

You can copy the navigation settings from any practice within the enterprise to the current practice. You can copy all or individual navigation sections like the Top Bar and Sub Bar. CAUTION: Copying navigation settings from another practice overwrites all settings for your practice. On the Specialty Nav Config template, select Navigation Config, and then expand the Copy Navigation panel. Copy Navigation window Select the Which settings to Copy field, and then select the kind of settings you want to copy: All – copies all navigation settings Single – copies the single bar navigation links Sub – copies the subnavigation links Top – copies the top navigation links Select the Which Practice to Copy from field, and then select the practice you want to copy settings from.
