Specialty Configuration Home

You can use the specialty configuration homepage to open various configuration templates. The Specialty Config Home template helps you do the following: Open the configuration templates using the links in the Specialty System Sidebar. The links for each product are listed in their respective sections, and the Main section contains the links to templates that are common to all the currently installed NextGen Healthcare products. Read descriptions to understand the purpose of configuration templates. The templates and their descriptions for each product are provided in their respective sections, and the details in the Main section are applicable to the common templates of currently installed NextGen Healthcare products. Practice Configuration

You can use the NTS Practice Config template to configure settings for the practice that you are logged on to. The template has a table layout with rows of settings for Scripts, Single Visit, Diagnosis, PT/OT Exams, PT/OT Modalities, PT/OT Aquatherapy, Goals, Fee Sheet, QuickPicks, Cancel, Screening, and Student Settings with SLP Students. Open the Practice Configuration Template Open the NTS Practice Config practice template from the Specialty Config Home system template so you can configure settings and preferences for your practice. Configuring Assessment Pages

You can create and maintain assessment pages for adding diagnoses to a patient’s history. You can use the Specialty Common Assessment Config practice template to build assessment pages using diagnosis groups configured on the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config practice template. The assessment pages are accessed throughout the medical record templates for adding diagnoses to the patient’s diagnosis history grids. Specialty Common Assessment Config The Specialty Common Assessment Config template has the following panels: Manage Common Assessment Pages and Links. You can create, update, or copy assessment pages and set default pages for rendering providers and practice. Manage Common Assessments. You can configure diagnosis codes and other items for the assessment pages available in the Manage Common Assessment Pages and Links panel. You can configure settings related to QuickPicks for NextGen® Medication Inventory Control. The Musculo Foundation (INF) is a framework of shared configurations for the stand-alone Musculoskeletal products. The Specialty QuickPick Manager is the only configuration template of Musculo Foundation (INF) used in NextGen® Medication Inventory Control. You can manage QuickPicks of NextGen® Medication Inventory Control using the Specialty QuickPick Manager system template. Configuring Diagnosis Groups, Financial Classes, and Payers

You can manage financial classes and payers that accept ninth revision codes of International Classification of Diseases (ICD-9) and configure diagnosis groups and codes. You can use the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config template to configure diagnosis groups and diagnosis codes for documenting patient's assessment and manage financial classes and payers that accept ICD-9 codes. Specialty Diagnosis Group Config The Specialty Diagnosis Group Config template has the following panels: Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes. You can add, update, copy, and deactivate diagnosis groups for documenting patient's assessment on the medical record templates. You can also manage diagnosis codes in the specific diagnosis groups. Manage Financial Class/Payer Listing. You can configure financial classes and payers that accept ICD-9 codes. If you configure a payer to accept ICD-9 codes, you can add ICD-9 codes on the medical record templates as a part of the patient's diagnosis details and submit the charge
