Configure a Provider-Specific Sidebar

In the Provider Sidebar panel, you can add, remove, or reorder sidebar items based on the provider for the encounter. For example, if a practice offers aquatherapy, but a provider in the practice never performs aquatherapy, that provider can remove it from their side navigation without affecting other providers. The right grid shows the custom sidebar for the selected provider.
  1. On the Specialty Nav Config template, select Navigation Config, and then expand the Provider Custom Sidebar panel.

  2. Select the Category field to open a list of side navigation categories.
  3. Select a category, and then select OK.
  4. Select the Visit Type field, and then select a visit type from the picklist. If you select the asterisk (*), the sidebar applies to all visit types.
  5. Under Provider, select the Filter by field, then select the provider you are configuring the sidebar for, and then select OK.
  6. To add items to the provider’s custom sidebar, select the items from the left grid, and then select Right arrow to move them to the grid on the right.
  7. If you want to rearrange items in the Provider grid, select an item, and then use the up and down arrows to move the item.
