Top Bar Navigation

Use the Top Bar Navigation panel to set the default Visit Type/Workflow or Single Bar Navigation tab links, their display names, and their order. The Top Bar Navigation panel has two sections: Visit Type/Workflow section where you can configure templates accessed from the top bar of the standard workflow Single Bar Navigation section where you can configure templates accessed from the top bar of templates that are outside standard workflows. Update a Sub-navigation Link on a Template

You can update or delete existing links on templates. On the Specialty Nav Config template, expand the Sub Bar Navigation panel. In the grid, select the template to display the configured links. To change a template or database picklist, select the Link field, select a new item, and then select Add/Update. To update the display name of a link, edit the name in the applicable Display field, and then select Add/Update. To change the order of a link, select the new position number in the corresponding Position field, and then select Add/Update. Note: Positions 9-16 are only available for the IORTShomepage_v2 template. The link position updates, and the positions of the remaining links automatically adjust. Navigation Configuration

In the Navigation Configuration template, you can configure the navigation bars. The system comes set up to handle the normal workflow. If your practice chooses to add additional templates to the suite, you will add them on the Navigation Config system-level template. Open the Navigation Configuration Template Select a Product in the Navigation Configuration Template Copy Navigation Settings Copy the navigation settings from any practice within the enterprise to the current practice. Sub Navigation Links

Blue sub navigation links appear directly below the gray workflow tabs on NextGen® Therapy Suite templates, and they open frequently used templates. The links that appear vary for each tab and template, based on how they have been configured for your practice, provider, and specialty, and on such things as the visit type and the patient's age. Add a Sub-Navigation Link to a Template

You can add links on templates to documents, templates, picklists, and websites. On the Specialty Nav Config template, expand the Sub Bar Navigation panel. From the blank field below the first column of the grid, select a template, and then select OK. Select any empty Link field. The Inf Nav Item List displays a list of templates with the DB Picklist item at the top. Do one of the following. Select DB Picklist, and then select OK to open a list of database picklists in the Inf Nav Dbpl List window. Select the database picklist to be added as the link, and then select OK. To add a document link, select Document, and then select OK to open the Inf Nav Doc List window. Select the document to be added as the link, and then select OK. To add a website link, select Web/App, and then select OK to open the Web/Application Link window. Enter the website address to be added as the link, and then select OK. Managing Sub Navigation Bar

You can manage links in the sub navigation bar of medical record templates from the Sub Bar Navigation panel of the Specialty Nav Config system template.
