Review, Modify, and Copy Comments

You can review comments entered in all sections of the patient’s chart, including those captured during previous therapy encounters with the patient. Depending on your configuration, this also includes mobile dictation comments created in NextGen® Mobile. You can then improve your documentation efficiency by copying SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan) comments from previous encounters, including sessions dictated with NextGen® Mobile, into the current encounter. You can copy previous comments from any template that allows you to edit the SOAP comments field. Open the NTS SOAP Comments template by doing any of the following: Open a Single Visit template, and then select the Get Data button at the top of the template. Open a Single Visit template, expand the appropriate panel, and then select the Review Comments link above the SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan) comment field. Comments

Most panels of the Single Visit templates have a Comments field. Use the Comments fields to record things such as observations, interpretations, additional information, instructions and plans that do not have discrete data fields in that section. Comments fields typically have a 1000-character limit, and a character counter below the field. Configure the Ability to Copy Comments Forward

For specified visit sets, you can allow therapists to copy forward SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan) comments, including comments captured from NextGen® Mobile, to the current encounter. Users can copy comments into the Single Visit templates and into the NTS Soap Comments template. Open the NTS Practice Config template, and then scroll to the Review Comments/NG Mobile section. Do one of the following: To create a configuration, select the field below the Visit Set column, and then select a visit set from the list. To modify a configuration, select a visit set in the grid. To allow users in the visit set to copy SOAP comments from past encounters to the current encounter, select Yes for Review Comments Copy Forward. The Get Data button becomes available on all Single Visit templates. Optional: If your practice uses NextGen® Mobile, select Yes for Mobile. Importing Rapid Flowsheet Data into a Single Visit Template

After you finalize and send clinical data from the Rapid Flowsheet template to the patient chart, the system attempts to automatically import the data into the NTS Single Visit or Chiro Single Visit template as follows. When you open one of the Single Visit templates for today's encounter, the system checks for data conflicts between the Rapid Flowsheet template and the corresponding fields in the Single Visit template. Then, one of the following occurs: If there are no data conflicts, the system automatically imports the flowsheet data into the Single Visit template fields. If the system detects data in any of the Single Visit template fields, you must review the data conflicts and decide whether to accept the data from the Rapid Flowsheet. Documenting SOAP Clinical Notes

In Today's Visit in Patient Chart, you can select Dictate to document and complete clinical notes. In Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan (SOAP) Notes, you can dictate your notes using a microphone, add blocks of text with documentation accelerators like Copy Forward or Macros, or enter and edit notes using a keyboard. On completing the SOAP notes, you can send the notes to NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Today's visit view You can use SOAP Settings to modify your SOAP sections in SOAP Note. Managing Today's Visit

The Today’s Visit workflow provides an intuitive, single-screen for the entire clinical documentation workflow. In the Today's Visit tab on the Patient Chart view, you can review and add clinical documentation to the patient's encounter. You can turn on or turn off the Today's Visit tab in Admin Console and NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal for different product groups in your clinic.
