Frequency and Duration

You can enter the frequency and duration of treatment. Frequency indicates how often the patient will be treated. The total duration of treatment is pulled from the longest goal.

In the example below, the expectation is for the patient to be seen with a frequency of 2 times per week for a duration of 4 weeks.

Examples of frequency and duration entries

If you are submitting a POC to an ordering provider who often rejects longer proposed durations, you can change the duration by selecting the duration text field (after “for”), and then selecting a shorter duration.

By making this change, the overall duration of the goals entered does not change; only the total duration of the POC changes. When the POC expires, an alert notifies you to update your goals to generate a new POC.
