Frequency and Duration
You can enter the frequency and duration of treatment. Frequency indicates how often the patient will be treated. The total duration of treatment is pulled from the longest goal. In the example below, the expectation is for the patient to be seen with a frequency of 2 times per week for a duration of 4 weeks. Examples of frequency and duration entries If you are submitting a POC to an ordering provider who often rejects longer proposed durations, you can change the duration by selecting the duration text field (after “for”), and then selecting a shorter duration. By making this change, the overall duration of the goals entered does not change; only the total duration of the POC changes. When the POC expires, an alert notifies you to update your goals to generate a new POC. Indicate the Treatment Plan Changed and Generate a New POC
When you change a PT/OT or speech treatment plan after the plan of care (POC) has been established, a new POC must be generated. In the NTS Single Visit or NTS Speech Single Visit template, expand the Plan panel, and then go to the Treatment Plan section. Update the activities in the treatment plan grid. If the POC was established before your changes, the Treatment Plan Changed. A New POC is Needed checkbox appears below the Treatment grid. (The checkbox does not appear when there are no changes). Follow-up Visit Information
You can document follow-up information and timeframe, and that post injection instructions were given in the section below the panels. All these fields are optional. Check the Appropriate post injection instructions given check box. Mark the Schedule follow-up visit check box. Select the Timeframe field and select a timeframe from the picklist. Select the Follow-up with field and select a health care provider from the picklist. In the Reason (s) for next visit section, check the Injection/Aspiration box to indicate another procedure or click in the Other field and enter a different reason. Select Patients from Patient Grid
You can select one or more patients from the patient grid. To select one patient, select the check box next to the patient name. To select one or more patients, select the check box next to the patient names. To select all patients, select the check box next to the filter icon. Second Evaluation N/A Checkbox
If a second evaluation is completed within the same case, a N/A checkbox appears over the Treating Dx grid. The system requires that you enter a new treating diagnosis on an Eval visit type. However, if a new diagnosis does not apply to the patient scenario, you can select the N/A checkbox to be able to submit charges. View a Patient's Vital Information
You can view the patient's vital information on the Care Opportunities tab. In NextGen Care® Population Management Hub, do one of the following: From the Cohorts tab, run a report. From the My Lists tab, run a list. From the Appointment Book tab, filter the patients. The patient list appears in the patient grid. In the patient grid, select the check box next to the patient. The patient’s recent vital information appears in Vitals on the Care Opportunities tab. Note: Depending on the age of the selected patient, you may view a different set of vitals.
