Add New Phrases
Select the
Manage My Phrases
link above any field where it appears.
The
INF My Phrases Mng
template opens. The template shows the section it was opened from in the
Category Filter
and
Category
fields.
To select another category, select the
Category Filter
or
Category
field.
The
INF MyPhrases GetTypes
picklist opens.
Choose a new category, and then select
OK
.
In the
Name
field, enter a name for the phrase.
Enter the phrase in the
My Phrase
field.
Select
Add
to save the phrase to the phrase set.
To create other phrases for this category, repeat steps 4-6.

Copy Phrases from a User
You can copy one or more phrases from another user’s My Phrase category set to your set. By copying phrases, you can quickly add phrases to your list and have a positive impact on continuity of care. On the INF My Phrases Mng template, select Copy From User. Copy From User button The INF My Phrases Copy template opens. The Phrase Type and Category display values based on the template where you selected Manage My Phrases. INF My Phrases Copy template In the grid below Filters, find phrases to copy from other sets by user and category. If you need to change the phrase type, select the Phrase Type field, and then select a different one. To list phrases from a specific user, select the Copy From field, and then select the user from the list. You can also select the asterisk (*) to list all users. Build My Phrases
On the INF My Phrases Mng Template, click the Category Filter field. The INF MyPhrases GetTypes window opens. Select the category (template) and click OK. The phrase is now available only to the current user and the Scope column displays User. To save the phrase as a system set, select the System Set check box. Type a name in the Name field, which describes the phrase. Note: This field is required. Enter the text of the phrase in the My Phrase field. You can type up to 1000 characters. Managing Phrases
Use the INF My Phrases Mng template to build and manage your custom phrases used throughout the NextGen® Therapy Suite templates. The phrases are user-specific. You can add, update, or delete phrases, search by Category, View deleted or System sets, and copy phrases from other users. Add Phrases Through the Field
You can add the text entered in a field that has the My Phrases feature as a phrase. On the appropriate template, enter the phrase text in the field, and then select the Plus icon or Manage My Phrases link available for that field. The INF My Phrases Mng template opens with the following information: The My Phrase field is filled with the text you have entered. The Category field is filled with the name of the category or section on which you have entered the text. Optional: If you are a super user and want to add the phrase as a system set for all users, select the System Set checkbox. In Name, enter the name of the phrase. In My Phrase, update the text as needed. Select Add. The phrase is added to the grid. To return to the template where you are documenting details, select Close. Update Phrases
You can update a custom phrase to change the text or its name or to make a new phrase. On the INF My Phrases Mng template, click the Category field to choose the category of the phrase you wish to update. This phrases for that category appear in the top grid. Select the phrase from the grid. Make any changes to the phrase. Click the Update button. This replaces the existing phrase with the updated version. Copy Phrases
You can copy phrases to your My Phrase sets from another user’s set. Click the Copy From User button on the INF My Phrases Mng template. INF My Phrases Copy template The INF My Phrases Copy template opens. Filter the left-hand grid by user (Copy From) and Category to find phrases. To change the user, click the Copy From field and select a user from the list. Enter an asterisk (*) to see all users. To change the category, click the Category field and select a category from the list. Enter an asterisk (*) to see all categories. Copy either all or specific phrases as follows: To copy all phrases for a given category or user, select that category or user in the Copy From or Category field, select and click the right arrow. All phrases move to the My Phrases List grid. To move specific phrases from another user, select that user in the Copy From field, and then click on each phrase that you want to copy.
