Set a Message's Completion Status

If a group of users (a routing policy or an online profile) are responsible for a message, marking the NextGen® PxP Portal message as Complete lets everyone know that the necessary actions are done. If the message includes a distribution list, you must accept it before marking it as complete. If you realize more actions need to be taken, you can change the status to Incomplete.

An online profile works similar to an email distribution list. If an online profile is used, everyone listed in the online profile receives the responses. Patients can only respond to an online profile. They cannot initiate a message.   1. Do one of the following.
    • Open the message, and then select Complete .
    • From the Inbox, right-click the message to select Mark As > Complete.
    The word Complete appears in the title bar of the Patient Portal Message window.
  2. Optional: To change the status from Complete to Incomplete, do one of the following:
    • Select Complete in the Patient Portal Message window.
    • Right-click a message, select Mark As, and then select Incomplete.
    • To accept and mark the a distribution list message as Complete simultaneously, from the Inbox, right-click to select Accept with Actions > Accept and Mark as Complete
