If a group of users (a routing policy or an online profile) are responsible for a message, marking the
NextGen® PxP Portal message as
Complete lets everyone know that the necessary actions are done. If the message includes a distribution list, you must accept it before marking it as complete. If you realize more actions need to be taken, you can change the status to
Incomplete.
Note: The term Distribution List refers to both routing policies and online profiles.
An online profile works similar to an email distribution list. If an online profile is used, everyone listed in the online profile receives the responses. Patients can only respond to an online profile. They cannot initiate a message.
