Reassign Messages

If someone in another routing policy needs to act on a message that you received, you can reassign it to the relevant users or user groups. When you reassign a message, the From address of the message remains the same. You cannot reassign responses that are from an online profile.

An online profile works similar to an email distribution list. If an online profile is used, everyone listed in the online profile receives the responses. Patients can only respond to an online profile. They cannot initiate a message.   1. In the Inbox under Communications, double-click the message that you want to re-assign to users in another routing policy.
    The Patient Portal Message window opens.
  2. Do one of the following actions:.
    • Select the arrow next to Accept, and then select Accept and Reassign.
    • Right-click the message to select Accept with Actions > Accept and Reassign.
    The Select users and groups window opens.
  3. In the To field, enter a filter value, and select Search.
    The user groups appear.
  4. Select the relevant users or user groups.
  5. In Message, enter your message for the selected users or groups.
  6. Select Reassign.
    The message appears in the Inbox of the assigned users and is moved to the Archived folder.
