Add Comments

Depending on the portal feature you are using, you can either directly enter your comments in the comments section or select Add or Add Comment to enter your comments. For example, on the Patient Portal Enrollment window, you must select Add to add comments. To enter comments from any window in the portal, select Add Comments or Add. Comments and Responses

You can enter comments, when you perform certain actions such as: Send or process online forms. Send messages to patients or respond to messages from patients. Accept or reject appointment, prescription, or enrollment requests. Send lab results from the PAQ or Orders module. Send any documents to patients. You can enter comments in one of the following two ways: Directly enter your comments Add a standard response Add Comments You have different options for entering comments in the NextGen® PxP Portal messages and requests. Respond to PAQ Action Tasks

A PAQ Action task is listed in the Clinical Tasking tab only if it is signed off in the Provider Approval Queue tab using the Task 1 or Task 2 action item. For the selected PAQ Action task, you can: Perform the PAQ actions. View the activity log in the Communication Summary window. Add a comment. Access the Workflow Module. In the Clinical Tasking tab, select a PAQ Action task assigned to you. Select Actions. The PAQ Item Actions window opens. Select the check box for each PAQ action to perform. If the patient is not enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal, the Send to Patient Portal option is disabled. If you select the Task 1 or Task 2 action, enter the following information in the fields that appear: Select an option from the Priority list. Viewing and Responding to Prescription Requests

You can view and respond to the medication requests that patients send from NextGen® PxP Portal. Patients can request new medications and refills of medications prescribed by the practice from NextGen® PxP Portal. You can view all communication sent and received through the NextGen® PxP Portal in a single view for the selected patient, by turning on Patient-Specific View. The count of unread or unsent messages in the Communications, Prescriptions, and Appointments folders refreshes every time you switch between the full view and patient-specific view. You can use the Display list to filter and review specific timeline messages. By default, the last three months messages are displayed. When patients send requests to refill their medications from NextGen® PxP Portal, you can do any of the following and then respond to the patient: Approve a patient's prescription request. Reject a patient's prescription request. Forward the requests to other users. Send the requests as tasks to other use

Using the Results Panel

You can perform the following actions in the Results panel on the Orders Summary tab: Enter test results coming in with an interface using the Formatted Results, Grid Results, or Documents, Images, and URLs tabs.
