Before You Generate a Statement
Before generating a statement for a patient encounter, you must add charges to the encounter and then bill it. If you receive payments or new charges, or if insurance is added, you can generate a new statement to reflect the changes. If a patient has insurance, you must post and process the insurance payments. When all insurance is processed, any remaining balance becomes the patient's responsibility.
