Print or Export an Account Statement from Account Lookup

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Account. The Account Lookup window opens. Select the desired account in the Search Criteria section. Select Find. In the Account List section, right-click on the account, and then select Print > Statements. The Guarantor Statement window opens. The default settings on the Guarantor Statement > General tab are pre-defined settings in Practice Preferences > Statements. Review the default Statement Options settings and make modifications, if needed. Note: The Enterprise, Practice, Location and Provider filter tabs are not available when printing an individual demand account statement. Do one of the following: To print the statement, select Print. To create an ASCII export file and to be sent to a third-party vendor for processing (printing and mailing), select Export. Print or Export a Patient Statement from the Charge or Payment Window

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. To open the Patient Statement window from the Charge Posting window, do the following: Select Charges. The Charge Posting window opens. Select the patient and encounter. Select Print Menu, and then select Statement. The Patient Statement window opens. To open the Patient Statement window from the Payment Entry window, do the following: Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Posting. The Batch Posting window opens. Select the batch, and then right-click and select Open. The Payment Entry window opens. Select Statement from the menu. Statements

A statement is generated for all accounts where the guarantor has an outstanding unpaid balance. An account can be for a person, patient, parent, or spouse who is the guarantor on one or more encounters. An account may also be for an employer who is the guarantor on one or more encounters. Each statement shows encounters with their associated charges, and any transaction activity (payments, adjustment, refunds) that is posted against those charges. Both outstanding insurance balances and patient balances are shown. The purpose of a statement is to keep the guarantor informed of their account activity, and to bill them for their outstanding patient balance. The patient balance is comprised of self-pay encounters or encounters with a remaining balance after insurance is paid. Encounters on a Budget Plan and encounters in Bad Debt status are not normally included on statements. However, they can be included if desired.
