Exporting Statements

You can export statements to create ASCII files that are sent to a third-party vendor for processing (printing and mailing). Both individual demand statements and batch statements can be exported. You must work closely with your statement processing vendor to ensure export files are created in NextGen® Enterprise PM and formatted using the appropriate data Delimiter and Text Qualifier required by the vendor. These must be defined in Practice Preferences > Forms > Export Options. Note: If you are using NextGen® EDI statement services, ensure to set the export options in Practice Preferences > Forms: Delimiter = <comma> and Text Qualifier = “. Uploading Files to NextGen EDI

When using NextGen® EDI services to print and mail statements or letters from export files created in NextGen® Enterprise PM, you can do one of the following to send the export files to NextGen EDI: Login to NextGen EDI's website and manually upload a file. Automatically upload a file in real-time from NextGen® Enterprise PM. Note: To automatically upload export files from NextGen® Enterprise PM, your NextGen EDI login credentials must be entered in Practice Preferences > NextGenEDI Uploading. NextGen EDI then provides a Confirmation Report on their website for you to download and use to confirm that a statement or letter file was received and processed. If you upload your files to NextGen EDI in real-time, a message displays in NextGen® Enterprise PM when an upload is successful and the file is received by NextGen EDI. Print or Export an Account Statement from Account Lookup

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Account. The Account Lookup window opens. Select the desired account in the Search Criteria section. Select Find. In the Account List section, right-click on the account, and then select Print > Statements. The Guarantor Statement window opens. The default settings on the Guarantor Statement > General tab are pre-defined settings in Practice Preferences > Statements. Review the default Statement Options settings and make modifications, if needed. Note: The Enterprise, Practice, Location and Provider filter tabs are not available when printing an individual demand account statement. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Account. The Account Lookup window opens. Enter Search Criteria to locate the desired account. Select Find. From the search results in the Account List section, double-click to open the account. The Account Profile window opens. From the main toolbar, select the Statements button. Print or Export a Patient Statement from the Charge or Payment Window

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. To open the Patient Statement window from the Charge Posting window, do the following: Select Charges. The Charge Posting window opens. Select the patient and encounter. Select Print Menu, and then select Statement. The Patient Statement window opens. To open the Patient Statement window from the Payment Entry window, do the following: Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
