Messages or requests from the excluded patients appear as restricted. You can forward the restricted messages to the users who have permissions to view the messages of such patients. For more information about including and excluding patients at the user level, go to

- From the main toolbar, select the Inbox
button.
The Workflow window opens.
- Select the Patient Portal tab.
The Communications, Prescriptions, Appointments, and Online Forms folders appear in the left pane. The messages appear in the right pane.
- Select the restricted message.
A message explains that you do not have access.
- Select OK.
The Forward Item window opens.
- Select the required user or user group.
If you cannot find a user or group, enter a search string in the field provided, and then select Search.
- In Message, enter your note for the user.
Your message also appears in the History section, prefaced with your username, and the current date and time.
- Select Send.
You can access the forwarded item from the Outbox folder.
